  1. Hey Brian and Scott, would you put Kasper at 1c and flip Larkin to wing on first line due to the growth of both Kasper and Larkin, of course?
Great podcast. Thanks for all you put into it.😊

  2. I've heard so many fans from other teams wanting Larkin after they saw him with USA this past season. Especially when they heard him in his media, and Wings fans were whining about him. They were very glad to trade all their mediocre players to get a great player like him.

  3. Larkin: Dude just needs to be healthy. I like Larkin as a player, but I'm still unsure about him as captain. This team seems very fragile when things don't go their way, and he doesn't seem to have the ability to pull the team out of any funk they may experience. I think he's a terrific player, and I'm glad he's in our lineup. I'm just not sold on him being a captain at this point in his career. Maybe I'm completely wrong, I'm not in the locker room, but he just doesn't give off leader vibes to me.

Holl: I was SHOCKED we didn't buy him out or trade him. I'd have traded Holl and our first round pick next year for future considerations. I mean, if we had to give up a 2nd to get rid of Walman, so surely taking Holl would fetch a Gavin McKenna. 😅 I jest about most of that. I was surprised he wasn't bought out though. I just hope JBD pans out as the 3rd pair right side D.

Berggren: Well, that sure was a disappointing season. I thought he'd have the kind of season Kasper had, start on the 3rd line and maybe work his way up after Tarasenko was a dud. Turns out, he was just as much of a dud. I think we'll look back on not dealing him at the '24 trade deadline as a mistake. His stock has only dropped since then. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised we re-signed him. Soderblom kinda came in and took Berger's 3rd line spot, and was a much more effective player. I think Berggren will have a very productive AHL or SHL career, if he goes back to Sweden, but I don't see a consistent NHL player in him. Hope I'm wrong and he has a great season. I'm just not getting my hopes up like I did last off-season.

  4. he does not need to keep being himself, bc himself is a guy who gets injured every year down the stretch when his team needs him healthy and playing his best. he also had a stretch of 2 full month from like late nov to late jan where he had no 5v5 goals. 29 games, 0 5v5 goals. that's not good.
