It feels unlikely to me that the Panthers will play the entire year without Tkachuk. Even if he starts on LTIR, it just postpones the issue of having to trade players (likely Rodrigues+Boqvist). I fully expect that to happen at some point, at which point Mackie slots right in on that second line most likely.
Also you forgot Puljujarvi on the depth, he actually looked really good with the Panthers. I'm also excited to see if Benning can get any NHL ice time yet.
This roster is so deep it's insane. It would be more surprising for them not (!) to make it three cups in a row than the other way around. I honestly believe that.
Hard to believe because they were the most do nothing franchise in sports for over 20 years. That should give hope to fans of a lot of teams.
If this team does the Dynasty thing, it will definitely on the back of Bob and he’s on a contract year and I still think at the age he is at there is another level to be unlocked and another nickname named after the elusive Conn Smythe trophy that needs to be added onto his already prestigious resume.
I am very high on Tarasov, there is raw talent that I think Luongo and Tallas can further tap into. He was drafted by Zito and has personal ties with Bob, almost kind of it’s the perfect fit.

Until the east gets better, until the NHL officiates and punishes dirty play, until the west isn't so much of a gauntlet, until taxes are even, FLA is the favorite. And all of that ignores that FLA is a good team that is well coached and managed. Those are a lot of advantages.
Winning the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy in sports. Winning back to back is extremely impressive especially making it 3 straight finals appearances. However you can’t give excuses for the Panthers to be a dynasty yet because they made the finals more than 2 times. Cups matter a lot more in the conversation with being a dynasty. Fans can give any reason either it’s because it’s the cap, or you feel that you deserve special treatment because you guys got a participation trophy’s or achievements. Lighting and the Pens have won back to back Cups. Same with the Panthers. Just be grateful Panther fans. You got one of the best opportunities to win a 3rd cup. Nothing is easy, even when teams are champions.

I don't see the Panthers winning 3 Cups in a row. At some point, some of their players will age out and not be as effective as they are at the present moment. Plus, Pomo is still on record as saying that Winnipeg should be next to win the Cup so I am taking him at his word. LOL
Lundell (77) has played in 17 fewer playoff games than Barkov (94). That is an incredible stat.

I don't know if Florida can make the three peat, mainly on a few factors like fatigue for the players as they made it to THREE Stanley Cup finals in a row and they are aiming for a 4th, they might not have enough to trade for a rental in March depending on who's healthy and that Bob numbers could go down this years, goalies that make it past 37 see a dip in their numbers.

Sam Bennett earned that "overrated" contract with the postseason hardware. Reminds me of not only Justin Williams, but also Scott Stevens and Chris Osgood based on playoff impact. He leaves his mark in the playoffs similarly like Stevens based on physical play. Plus you dont always see the more physical guys win the Conn Smythe though they play different positions.
