  1. great video. don't think i didn't notice you snub the wings who also won 3 in 6 years at the beginning

  2. Gives me goosebumps thinking that if either Pittsburgh won or Boston got past Florida they would of been the greatest team in NHL history 💔

  3. This is my favorite genre of Hockey Psychology videos. Sure, the in season weekly recaps are nice, but this kind of video hits different.

  4. Marchand – breaks away, gassed, his team phoning it in, gritty but cant sink it.
Panthers – "i like your cut G come on over"

  5. Why are the Sabres never safe in these videos 😫
    …nvm 😔

But lest we forget, Buffalo was tied with Pittsburgh that season, ONE POINT OUT OF PLAYOFFS 😭😭

  6. Man this channel is great. Thanks for all the content. Really high quality stuff man. Go Blues

  7. I don't care what anyone says–the Panthers are still nothing but a cheap immatation broad street bullies, a couple good players and a bunch of goons–win a third cup, all you short attention Florida fans that get stuck at "go cats" can put yourselves with actual dynasties.

  8. Almost always enjoy your vids immensely, but this one’s not great even for a “what if” clip.

The Hawks winning didn’t get them in the 3rd draft position, it’s the overtime point in game 82 that tied them with CBJ, with the Hawks having the tie breaker.

Game 81 was not especially meaningful or directly correlated with winning the draft.

As for the Panthers, they controlled their own destiny before the Pens played the Hawks, as the Panthers would clinch with a win in their last game. Pens lost and Panthers clinched regardless.

The idea that somehow Pens missing the playoffs led to Panthers getting playoff experience and therefore winning back to back cups is one of the worst leaps of logic I’ve ever seen.

Stick to the hockey vids instead of this make believe nonsense.

  9. I was literally about to comment butterfly effect and this man drops it as the last line banger in the video. So cool to think about all these scenarios. They play out every single day in all our lives. Wild

  10. Forever…so this is going to affect the NHL 70 years from now? Or just had a minor trickle-down that affects present day?

  11. I don't think you are giving Jarry enough credit for being the one to let in the goal.

  12. Can someone give Dallas Stars ownership and management and let them know they need a major culture change please!! Thanks. From a exhausted Stars fan.

  13. Charlie Kelly levels of red string connecting, and I loved every minute of it. I was reminded of one of Marchand's OT ending breakaway goals in the 2025 playoffs against EDM, as if the put the universe back in order. Love the off season videos. October can't come quickly enough.

  14. Although it wasn’t in the final week of the season. Patrik Stefan’s empty net gaffe resulted in the Blackhawks drafting Kane instead of the Oilers due to the 1 point Edmonton got in that game; and a dynasty was basically born

  15. Thanks, I was still salty over that loss to Chicago. Now you tell me it made Tkachuk a back to back cup winner
