Buffalo Sabres need a real GM who can build a team by not overpaying everyone and trading good pieces. I thought the Pegula’s were much smarter than they are. The fans are dying for a decent team. The league should step in.

10:55 I’m not gonna defend the Sabres on this, because they should have let him have the surgery he wanted.
I am however going to say, what annoys me about this conversation every time it comes up is that people act like this was a simple matter at the time. The concern with ADR as opposed to Fusion was that it hadn’t been done on an NHL calibre player before, and teams had to drop out because teams weren’t willing to clear players for this surgery. The NHLPA rejected this for similar reasons as well as it wasn’t a tested method in the NHL at the time.
*Edit* Also Sabres fans did not turn on Jack Eichel. Most fans were in support of the surgery. Unless you're talking about his comments after which like… yeah. He went after the fans as opposed to the organization that screwed him over.
