Reminds me of the SnOvechkin game against the penguins when DC got hit by a blizzard.
Fucking YouTube puts comments over the goddamn subtitles halfway through the video, so I can't watch silently. Why does such a big company keep fucking up something so motherfucking simple?
I member that day😊
The Devils deal with the flames 🔥
Feel like there is 0% chance of this happening today
Yo why are people sitting way up back like nobody's coming just go to the floor! 😂😂😂 I mean I guess realistically you have a better seat a little bit higher but it looked like some of those fans were up above the hundred level and that is just unacceptable. Like I'm sitting right behind the bench. Having conversations with the players you know what I mean like that's what I'm doing. I'm discussing strategy… For getting out of this building with the players and also you know maybe some hockey let's go team! Security didn't get there. They don't get paid enough…
If there are only that many fans in the building, I might just have to assume that I am the stand-in assistant coach… Or you know what? I might sign up to be a volunteers zamboni driver. You know what I'm saying? Like this is where heroes are made…. So make me something! Cuz normally you could have more crew than this so there must be a job I can do somewhere
Most teams now show up the day before if not 2 depending on their schedule so they can rest then practice. That's usually why they have a bus for close games and fly for our of state games. The revenue still comes in from tv. This would have been aired. Plus season ticket holders.
Dawn of the Dead. The movie takes place in the meadowlands arena in the Snow Storm with zombie apocalypse outside running errands around. I like this arena coliseum the endless ocean of concerts and events sports omg fun memories 💞😁
Seriously, what's the story here?
Is it that there was a low crowd; the weather; some players couldn't make the venue; or was it the result?
How on earth is this a worthy story?
Fuck that
Lol i remember that gamecand i would also like to add, if a hugexsnowstorm took place before a game in Canada, the arena would be packed!
That part of Jersey is one of the worst places to have a sports venue to begin with, snow or no snow.. 334 people would be considered a great crowd to watch a Miami Marlins game. These days, most facilities have a place for players to rest at before the game so they don’t have to travel out. It was so great to see Chuck Scarborough in his prime again, one of the greatest newscaster in NYC history.
The irony of a hockey game almost called on account of snow.
The people still in the nosebleed section, when there's plenty of front row seats for everyone 😂
I never knew that!
That is truly old school. How many people would do that today
That's hockey
This game would've never been played today
I was one of the 334 people My friend and I decided to go because driving through the snow did not bother us and we knew that by the time the game was over the roads would be plowed somewhat so we went
Not surprised that the Devs would have the lowest attendance. I mean, have you ever gone to their regular games…
The 334 club got season tix if I remember correctly. Also, what a yonug Chuck Scarborough on WRC (NBC4 New York!)
Hockey…it is not even a real sport. So who cares…? Lol…
Who cares? Hockey is not even a "real sport"…anyway.
If i'm at that game i'm going to sit courtside
I remember blizzards in 1977 and 1978, but not in 1987.
I'm now curious if they found a replacement for the runaway ref that night in Hartford
How stupid to have the game go on after a state of emergency was declared.
I think I went to a Capitals game with my son that could have had less fans than players. We lived a mile or so from Arena and was during an unexpected snowstorm
That has to be the most epic story in NHL history….not involving Wayne Gretzky of course😂
God if it was to snow here I'd be shocked. But then I'd be even more shocked if there was a hockey game
