Yzerman is not dumb. In the past 24 hours I've read from two different Edmonton writers about how they should trade for our goalies. The one guy thought the Wings would give up Cossa for Akey or Hutson. Now this writer is suggesting they trade for one of the top goalie prospects in the world, Detroit's Trey Augustine. I guarantee Yzerman laughed in their faces. He's going to hold onto both until he knows which one he wants to keep long term, then trade the other for a very high return. Why would he trade either now?!? Their value is only going to go up. If the Oilers want either Cossa or Augustine.. they better be offering the moon. It also doesn't help that every GM knows that Edmonton is DESPERATE for a goalie. That means they'll have to pay even more. No matter what, trading either Cossa or Augustine right now would be completely crazy.
