  1. Eddie you are an amazing host, I started listening this last season and your breakdowns are informative and understandable for someone like me still learning about the hockey world. I listen to some of the other California teams and a few other locked on podcasts but you are by far my favorite and not only because I’m a Kings fan 😂 keep up the amazing work

  2. Happy Anniversary, Eddie. I'm happy I found this show. It's become an important part of my week!!! LED

  3. I do not understand the emotions surrounding the Corey Perry signing, it may turn out to be one of the more important additions to the Kings lifting the Stanley Cup. Go Kings Go!

  4. I used AI for this math, so take it with a grain of salt.
A player making $10 million a year in Las Vegas would take home roughly 40% of that, or 4 million.
That same player in LA would take home 34% of that same 10 million dollars, or 3.4 million.
So it’s not as big a factor as everyone says. Although it’s probably a factor, we have to remember that players get taxed based on location for duty days. This means if they’re practicing and playing in Winnipeg, they pay taxes there for that days salary.
This might not be perfect, and I certainly don’t expect everyone to know this information, but I hope it helps us see why the NHL isn’t overly concerned with this issue.

  5. As a Canucks fan, I think the Kuzmenko signing is going under the radar. I really wanted the Nucks to sign him this summer but your Kings did. I think he's comfortable there and will play well.

  6. No high-profile offensive-minded player wants to play in LA, where offense goes to die under Hiller. It doesn't matter who Holland wanted to sign, those players don't WANT to sign in LA. Even defensemen like Gavrikov are choosing not to continue with LA. As a result, this team gets the market scraps like Ceci and Perry. It's going to be a long decade ahead of us after Kopitar and Doughty retire.

  7. Been following since September 2022!
I listen to your podcast on the way to work every morning. Thanks for all you do Eddie!

  8. CP will always be hated and a pariah, but as long as he doesn't poison the locker room, sleep with any teammate's Mom or gets sloppy drunk…maybe the hate will subside a bit.

  9. Gavy was leaving regardless…he wanted to be a Ranger. He's tight with Igor & Panera Bread, plus NY has a huge Russian community.

  10. Because of the exorbitant State Income Taxes,I wonder if the Kings can offer a deferred Contract like what Ohtani did with the Dodgers? 🤔

  11. Screw everyone who tries to tell ME how to be a Kings fan. F**k Perry and his BS, my Kings don't need a guy who was dismissed by the Blackhawks for an "incident" that he admitted was alcohol-related. He cleared waivers at the time (no other team wanted his drunk ass), and now he's supposed to be an asset for my team?? No. Cheer for him all you want folks, but don't have the gall to tell me I need to support him. I think Kings management is taking too big a risk with him, if someone is drunkenly assaulted by Perry during his LA tenure, it'll be at least partly their fault.

  12. Remember McSorley? Hated that guy until he became a King. And then I just despised his cheap shots but liked winning. Anybody that cuts through the Edmonton crap is welcome. 2:09

  13. Oh my god. Get over it dude. Are you afraid of winning?
Let go of your pride. We need a dog on the roster who mucks it up and can score on all fours. We are better now with Perry. This podcast needs a more positive host. Stop crying

  14. I've been a dedicated Kings fan since 1989. Never had a problem recruiting enemies. I welcome Perry with open arms. Will he produce?? That's another story altogether. I was ok with Gretz (of course), ok with Kurri (actually ecstatic), ok with Mcsorley, Huddy, Krushelnyski (scored one of the greatest OT goals in playoff history – Galgary 1989) ok with Deadmarsh when the Avs were my most hated team of all, ok with Blake coming back (sorta), this list can go on but you get the idea. Its just sports people. Lets GO Perry! – this team needs them dirty goals. Plus, they'll have room in the cap to make a couple deals during the season – one of the reasons they're overstocked in goalie talent. GKG.

  15. After 40 years I am far from a "sunshine and roses" Kings fan, but we HAVE to turn the corner. Too many Dodger and Laker fans thinking that there is a money tree planted somewhere at Staples (yeah I still call it Staples), and we can just buy a franchise. All the reasons we hate Perry are all the reasons why we should be excited. We haven't had a decent agitator since Dustin Brown. Sure we had a few in recent years (Lemieux, and most recently Jeannot) but our 4th line needed a overhaul, some grit, and he will fit in well there. Last season he played 103 games, he scored 19 goals, and was a plus player. He also comes with a fairly risk free contract. Maybe we should talk about this, and how it benefits our team? Eddie, as a voice for the Kings and for fans, you have to be constructive, but also steer the narrative to something more constructive. oh…and Tommy from Manhattan Beach, thank God you are no where close to being a GM…. ANYWHERE

  16. FYI – I turned off this podcast midway (for the first time) when you kept going on about your distain for Perry.
