Carey Prices contract is an asset to trade for both Chicago and San Jose; meaning both Chicago and San Jose will have to pay to acquire it. No way Mtl will trade any high draft picks in a Carey Price trade.
Best troll ever would be for Weber and Price to show up with gear at Hawks camp next year
I am new to the NHL, why would teams want to trade for an LTIR player? He will never play anyway
I'm a Hawks diehard, but if they're trading for yet another contract they need to get a player back. We have a wealth of good prospects and draft picks dont excite me.
I expect this year will be another rough one (and I'm fine with that)
But after this year there has to be marked improvement. Im fine with another tip 3 pick….but this year had got to be the last one for a while. You can collect good prospects all day but at some point tbit has to turn into something tangible.
Still "In KD we Trust" but the leash is getting shorter.
Go Hawks!
Tab is good Blackhawks beat writer
I like Reichel and want him to succeed but, nobody ever comments on the fact that he was on a great trajectory UNTIL the Hawks won the Bedard sweepstakes and he was no longer the top young guy. Bedard is drafted and Reichel completely collapsed. He needs a change of scenery and I believe what the Habs are building would be great for him. Let him go. He wasnt a KD draft pick anyway and he was kind of a reach at his draft slot anyway. I had high hopes and he showed great promise but, he imploded when Bedard was drafted and he wasn't the Hawks next big thing. Now there are a lot of other prospects I think have much higher upside than him. Do him a favor and move him.
There is a cap ceiling and a cap floor. You can’t pass the ceiling and you must reach the cap floor. Teams below the cap floor will acquire dead cap money ( Carey Price ) to meet that floor.
That B-fort guy… too much playstation for him… makes him look dum-dum!!
Dobes and Fowler and they think Montreal is in the market for another backup goalie like Brossoit!? 😂
Chicago writers are loopy. Montreal will end up eating the contract. No one is ponying up anything to take it on. Montreal would have to pay
Overblown situation it’s at max a 3rd round pick type dump
I’d trade that for Bedard, not reichek.
This is so retarded
There might be a bidding war for Price’s LTIR cap especially since the real money paid out is only 800,000
Chicago
Pittsburgh
San Jose
On the cap floor could all be willing to pick it up and Montreal doesn’t need to sweeten anything
Then there may be teams near the cap ceiling that may be interested in using a 10.5m LTIR spot so they can go over the cap
Edmonton
Toronto
Florida …
Hughes is way too shrude to throw in assets
Habs can keep Price’s contract they don’t have to move it
It would just make sense to do so
😂 ummmm no
Best Habs goalies i have seen in my era, Patrick Roy 2 cups, Lorne Worsley 4 cups, Ken Dryden 6 cups, Carey Price 0 cups! All four were excellent and deserve to be in the Hall.
No way tha happened, those contract are usually trade for almost nothing.
In the case of price it would be probably an ahl or a late draft pick.
montreal should trade for reichel–probly be the last peice they need to replace what they lost on the PK
I don't see this at all! If I'm Habs hanging the phone.
There is no need to tie any 1st with Prices contract. Teams that need to hit the floor and have cheap ownership, he's perfect 10mil on the car but only owed 2mil of actual money.
