  1. Duclair looked so bad last year I would take a bag of pucks for him. Hope he can turn it around, but I didn't see much of anything to be hopeful.

  2. Re the Duclair-Roy relationship, dont forget that Drouin said Duclair helped sell him on the Islanders.

  3. Maybe, and I know I may hear it from the anti-enforcer hockey fans but as long as there’s fighting you’re always going to need one, especially in a division with the likes of Wilson, Rempe, etc. Maybe they can trade Duclair for a decent enforcer and a pick because the islanders have quite a few smaller guys and in my opinion are going to need someone to keep the other team honest. And PLEASE do not mention someone like Lee because if you ever saw Lee fight, islanders would be better off having Barzal drop the gloves. Duclair for Olivier! Make it happen

  4. IMO, Duclair is best traded at the deadline as part of a package. Before that, I would like to see a Drouin-Barzal-Duclair line. Drouin can play the off-side because he shoots from anywhere below the dots. Watching McKinnon and Drouin rush up the ice and how quickly Drouin would net the NMc passes has me salivating about Drouin and Barzal rushing up the ice. Barzal is a pass first guy, and Drouin doesn't think much about passing. The perfect couple….potentially. Add in Duclairs speed and it could be a lethal combination. If it isn't Duclair, Holmstroms puck possession and play making ability could work. He's slower than Barzal and Drouin, but the staggered entry can be a big asset.

One thing is for sure…Bridgeport will be 20-30 points better than last seasons 59 point total. Darche signed / drafted so many decent players, (along with the return of Iskhakov) the AHL club will be well stocked this year.

  5. You got eiserman and Ritchie coming up this year I see no reason not to trade him.
