I think some fans need to understand you can't just make a trade to make a trade

hey ace no upgrade as have not even shown interest in upgrading top 6 winger or center need to get rid of palat and if coaches cant trust nemec or casey trade them n fitz needs to go
heard he is getting a six or seven year contract worth 6 to 7 million dollars . no rush to sign top six by fitz grade is d- he fails unless does something before season starts but why cant we trust players from utica devils they are the ones that will carry devils hockey later and now if they dont get luke signed are there chances he signs with his brother in vancover

Looking back at the Devils rosters in the years following the 2012 run to the finals, fans were dreaming of one day having a roster like the one we have now, and the years are being squandered away. Nico and Jack fell in their laps through nothing other than the good fortune of landing two first overall picks. Bratt was a diamond in the rough that we are very fortune to have found, but it’s almost like management just doesn’t know what to do to build out a team beyond getting high picks and picking up whatever free agents are open to coming to NJ. I sincerely hope that this is Fitz last chance to prove himself, if this team doesn’t at least make it to the ECF, he needs to go and someone with the know how to build out a true contender is brought in before we completely waste the best years of our star players.

I wonder if the Devils could work out a deal with the ducks. Something that would include Mercer and Palat and some other pieces(picks) and try and get McTavish. I think he's the type of player we need. Plus freeing up the money from Palat and Mercer would give us enough money to get Luke and McTavish signed. I have heard the ducks have been one of the teams they are trying to dump Palat on already.
NJ has a tough start of the season with the teams scheduled. Need to get off to get a good start and get as much points as possible.
Man, this off season is dragggggggggggggging on and on…thanx for the content, Ace. I feel like a big shake-up of this roster was needed, but Fitz ain't that guy. I'm predicting a repeat of last season. F is for Fitz and it's also the grade he gets. There's still time for 'ole Tommy boy to win me over, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I can't help but to think back at how giddy and excited I was with last off season's acquisitions…quite the 180…damn. LGD!
