Le renouveau de Long Island

AKA: « Revisiting: The New York Islanders » peut changer dans environ cinq ans.

  1. This video was a curse. The mighty have fallen. Lou sits has made 1 move in 2 years. Billionaire boy Ledecky got bored with his expensive toy and it seems that he couldn’t care less ab the islanders. I don’t know how many more seasons I have in me. I can’t be like cowboys fans. I can’t be a middle aged man reminiscing ab a couple years of success when I was a kid

  2. Hope for sustainability was the biggest lie this franchise told us. Only thing we’ll sustain is a home on Long Island, other than that, we have no promise, no hope for success

  3. Even after jinxing them, I still think the Islanders are doing fine as a franchise. Especially if they can get 2022-23 Canucks Bo Horvat in his 8 year contract. And Sorokin plays like he did in most of the games against Carolina in round 1. At least they can say that ownership isn’t a problem.

Edit: 9 days after it happened and I still can’t believe that ownership is determined to hold onto their core, especially Sorokin. When I saw he had resigned for $8.25 million a year for 8 years, I was shell shocked. But it certainly wasn’t undeserved.

  4. I’m watching this again after 2023’s home opener, and even after Trotz was fired, I still feel like the isles are in one of the healthiest states of any NY team.

  5. I was so proud of this team especially after JT. But unfortunately, this Run is over, this team needs a major roster overhaul.

  6. As a Canes fan

Its sad to say YALL COULD HAVE HAD ANOTHER DYNASTY IF YALL KEPT TAVARES

If he was there we would’ve be out of the playoffs 1st round back to back

We should be talking about the 2nd Isles dynasty now

Cause Tavares was the last puzzle piece

PS Toronto you wasted his talent

EVERY OTHER TEAM IS BETTER THEN THE LEAFS
    MAPLE LEAFS ARE TRASH

  7. 10:07 – Tree deserve a slap in the face now that NYCFC finally got a home which is located in Willets Point after winning the Eastern Conference Title, MLS Cup, and Campeones Cup. Making them the first NY sports team to win a title since the Giants.

  8. This video is a double edge sword. They are still a solid team but luo is showing his age. They need to make splash deals in free agency to add star power to the foward core. Roy is showing to be a great coach. They just need to get a few solid 1st line players in free agency and there right back to playoff contender

  9. I can only say one thing about the team… Lunch Pail HC! Some of these forwards are not super stars but they work there ass off every day

  10. this is the ultimate tree jinx I think I've ever seen. Since this video the team has fallen right back into the pit of fringe playoff contenders that they had gotten out of. Isles fans have booed Tavares endlessly since leaving but that's their greatest mistake. He probably would've been the piece that pushed the Isles to a cup during the back to back conference finals appearances. At least you have a home this time though

  11. depending on how this draft goes we could be looking at a Long Island ReRevival if fortune favors New York

  12. 4 years later, I think I can say this for certain: This revival was premature and was heavily HEAVILY aided by a pandemic. I don't think the Islanders are anywhere near competitive beyond having Sorokin between the pipes. Maybe Schafer can fix the defense , but other than that, what do the islanders really have at this point?
