Idk if the east will be as wide open and up for grabs as last season , but this ranger roster is gonna need career years from more than one player to hope to contend.
Can Coach Sullivan return Z play to his best days? Can he motivate or coach Laffy into scoring and checking?
If yes, this team can surprise as Montreal, Washington and Columbus did last year.
If not, sit them, trade them and let the young guys play as a rebuilding year.
Mika did not play better because he was moved to RW. He played better because he was playing with JT. In his talk with Sullivan, he related how much he liked playing with JT. Kreider was injured most of the year, leaving him to play with Smith & fill ins. In his talk with Sullivan they even talked about he & JT changing positions if they were on the same line. Bad idea!!! Rangers have no adequate third line center, so the third line will be a tire fire if Mika doesn't play center. Bad idea!!! Maybe next year if Laba can move up, then he can switch. I trust Sullivan is going to realize this & do the right thing for the team.
