In the words of Michael Buble……“lol shut up”
He is not going to New Jersey
He's coming to NJ.
Getting tired of hearing this
Please let this happen!
Why would Quinn want to stay in Van? No practice facility. No playoffs. No good forwards to play with. Ep40 is one of the worst contracts in the League. And his brothers are in Jersey, who are trending to be an Eastern Powerhouse. I think he's gone.
I'm just going to throw this out there… If Quinn leaves the Canucks, it likely won't be to New Jersey unless a third team is involved.
Because aside from the other Hughes brothers, new Jersey does not have anything Vancouver needs.
Quinn Huges already said he wants to Vancouver to THE CUP . He is not going anywhere.
No team would give the Canucks anything of value in a trade knowing that there's no chance of him staying on that team. Teams trade for depth players as rentals not elite players
Canucks dont have to trade Quinn to New Jersey when there are other teams that could almost single-handedly rebuild the Canucks with prospects they have on their farm team. The Canucks NEED a practice facility though, time for an ownership change if that isn't in the plans.
So much blabbering
Vancouver has actually had more playoff success than New Jersey has in the past 5 years…
I cannot be optimistic anymore after all these years. I just hope that Hughes let ownership and management know early of his decision, so we can prepare ahead. If Hughes is staying, yes we shouldn't rebuild but just push for the playoffs every year.
But if Hughes is leaving, I see no reason to not totally rebuild. We can get Bedard here in a 3 way trade, then rebuild a team around Bedard in 4 or 5 years. This is a relatively fast turn around plan.
We aren't just gonna totally tank and hope God has mercy to let us draft McKenna. If you look at the Sharks, Sabres, etc. Getting McKenna or not is just pure luck, and Canucks is known for bad luck. We might be 10+ years into a rebuild and still getting nowhere.
To Canucks: Connor Bedard
To Devils: Quinn Hughes
To Blackhawks: Simon Nemec or Seamus Casey + Anton Silayev or Arseni Gritsyuk, + Dawson Mercer + 1st round pick
It might not be exactly Bedard, but for sure we are aiming for a top 3 Forward, since we want to win now. Prospects and picks aren't as useful to us, since we aren't crush-and-burn rebuilding (Aquaman never will). Chicago (for example) can use those picks and prospects more than us. Devil's are also aiming to win now, so they cannot part with their top 3 forward neither. So a 3 way trade makes the most sense.
Youre a clown
What’s in Vancouver’s best interest is trading Quinn now, guarantee the best return, and make sure the team is in the running for either McKenna or DuPont… Vancouver is not going to have Quinn past ‘27 no matter what, Vancouver cannot both lose Quinn AND take themselves out of McKenna/Dupont sweepstakes or at minimum a player from what are two deep draft classes in a row
bro made a whole 10 minute video just beause someone said "he'll be on the NJD in 2 years". waste of time
