  1. revamped? still a lackluster roster void of skill/g scoring ability (shab?) with lackluster pp/pk. roy/boughner must find an answer to woeful pk and find something to improve on. just shuffling pieces around now looking for any combo once again as roy plays the pieces handed to him. isles are just waiting it out for the '26 draft hoping it can add added offense isles ignore like the plague.
and lorimer was part of the deal with cameron in '81 that got isles rockies now nj's first in '83 and lafontaine so deal worked out pretty well for isles. bow tie loved fleecing rockies in deals.

  2. Not looking for a Cinderella story. I would like to see the trading off of assets for draft capital to jump start a complete rebuild. Let the young guys who are ready play, play. Specially look forward to Schaefer & Aitcheson developing into big-time players. Keep Horvat and Holmgren. Dump the rest. I would have traded Barzal for Hagens in a heartbeat.

  3. Gil, has anyone been named president of hockey operations taking over senile Lou’s tittle? Of course not that’s why lil Chrissy is still in the organization. Nobody is going to convince me that the Romanov contract isn’t from senile Lou. We had to get rid of the radio announcers just to keep that useless POs. Nothing changes until Lou’s son and the rest of the jersey pukes are gone from the organization. Darche = Trojan horse Roy= cheerleader

  4. If we end up bottoming out, hopefully, we'll know before the deadline, Darche better trade EVERYONE he can! That's Lee, Palms, Zeek, Pelech, Mayfield, Druin, Dutches Duclair, for as many 1st round picks and good to very good NHL ready youngsters! We need to be pretty good or horribly bad this coming season. ABSOLUTELY can not find ourselves stuck in that muddy middle shit sandwich position!!

  5. Gil, most of our fan base are some of the smartest and most on point fans in the NHL. We've had decades of practice as armchairs GMs because the GMs during the decades of failure were making the dumbest trades, drafts, and signings! All our armchair moves during those years were guaranteed to be better decisions! What im saying is every single fan most likely would've had a better lineup than the actual GM of the team during that span!….My comment probably sounds like the ramblings of a madman to everyone, but it makes sense to me! Lol!

  6. Good 🌄, Gil. How are you? Before I chime in, I have that link that you want. It's https://youtube.com/@islesicenetsi=mDQaTSTlmKSf-_Tx
Patrick Roy will be feeling the pinch. Matheiu Darche has confidence in Patrick Roy; wouldn't have extended his contract. I hope Anthony DuClair and Patrick Roy kiss and makeup. I also can't wait for training camp to start. According to the Athletic, Islander fan confidence has gotten better since they hired Matheiu Darche. I like what one said that the Islanders went from The Flintstones to The Jetsons when they hired Matheiu Darche. Casey C. had some nice things to say about Mathieu Darche. I can remember when the Metro Division was the Patrick Division was one powerful division and the Islanders and the Flyers were running neck and neck for 1st place. As nice as it would be to 👀 another Cinderella story, I would be happy to 👀 the Islanders have a solid season. HAPPY 🎂, BOB LORIMER. He got to drink 🍾 from the Stanley Cup twice. He scored the clinching goal and had a helper in a win at Vancouver. Best moment. He scored the GW goal in Game 6 win eliminating 🦬 in 1980. Hear from you later, Gil. I 👀 Game 1 of the same semis. Key moment. While Gord Lane was serving a 5 minute major for spearing, Bob Bourne showed his speed and scored a shorty, and then Boss lifted the puck from Bill Hajdt and scored the GW goal. Hear from you later, Gil. I hope that link I sent helps you out. Now LET'S GO, ISLANDERS

  7. Not too much overhaul but definitely excited. Hope to see JGP and Lee moved at the deadline for picks or prospects. 2026 is going to be a great draft class.

  8. Good morning team! Gil, there is obvious excitement. We haven't had what seems to be an active GM trying to get the team where the fans would like it to be for quite some time. Playing with the same old core, year in and year out, and expecting a different result from the previous year. Age caught up with the team and now we have a GM that is actually trying to get the team to be younger, faster, and more talented. It's a refreshing change. You know what I'm talking about. Having said all that, Darche's vision for what he wants for the team is going to be based on so many factors. Most importantly being team chemistry. I hope the new players and existing veterans play as we hope they could. Right now it's a wait and see situation. Hopefully it works out for the best. Great episode! Thank you, Sir. Everyone, have a great day! See you all again on Wednesday. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  9. There shouldn't be any pressure this season because it is a transition year, it'll take time for the kids to develop and were free of Sleepy Lou now. I can see between 80-90 pts realistically.

  10. Hi Gil! Hope you’re well my Isles friend! To me, our Gm did a phenomenal job this summer and our future is set—-we just have to wait for the future and we will have growing pains all the same but we have a very bright future. This is a “House money” season. I feel we have the same chance to make it as we do to not make it. My concern is Sorokin is 30 and it will take 2/3 years to get good again. However, next year—we can make a run. How? Well the 12m coning with Lee/Pageau plus 10m salary cap coning I believe—-we can make a run at the Russian Wild stud—-we get that kid——with what we have now—-we will make some noise. Gotta use the money wisely and that’s what Darche is known for—-managing contracts and money!! Great things are coming are way Gil and our fans truly deserve it!! Take care Gil—- Never Say Die!!

  11. Gil, first love the show. Now… There’s no way if the Isles are a disaster Roy is getting fired unless he starts making horrible moves. This is, with this roster, a 75-80 point team. Can’t blame Roy for this roster. I want to see him without the chains of Lou. Unleashed Roy… let’s go!

  12. Of course there will be bumps but I do feel we will be more competitive. I expect a rebound in the special teams due to our new addition associate coaches. Roy has to Let these experienced coaches use players they see as best options on the pk and pp. Health is Wealth if we can stay healthy we should be more competitive. Hopefully a new attitude trickles down from Darche, to coaching, finally to the players on the ice. Certainly more optimistic for a competitive team.

  13. I am a big Patrick Roy fan. His success as a Player, GM, and Owner speaks for itself. He finally has a decent roster now to work with. LGI

  14. If we suck they'll asses whats wrong and move players ive got respect for all these players we're a small fan base so these guys are family
