I feel like everyone is underrating this team.
I told you leave it to Mitch. It's happening. THEY WERE 500 with 10 injuries. Where is your logic.
Honestly, IMO, making or missing the playoffs this coming season is not all that important. For the first time in a LONG TIME, there is hope the team can be an honest cup contender in 3-5 years. The MOST important item for this year is the development of the Isles' younger players. Better times are ahead!
My concern about the Isles making the playoffs or being in the hunt is that ownership will not want to trade our pending free agents, Lee and JGP. I'd like to recover some assets for each of them, maybe even another first round pick or a young NHL player. But I guess its not the end of the world if we resign one or both of them to short term contracts while we're waiting for prospects to develop.
Dont care if they don’t make the playoffs this season. As long as they’re fun to watch. And i think thats a lock.
I still don’t know what to expect. Roy and lambert have tried to hold on to a trotzian/lou system for the most part. Will we see a different style especially w Darche focus on speed? Defense is a question mark and they still don’t have enough scoring. They need to replace the Nelson and Dobson production. I think if they get enough of a return from JG and maaaaaybe Lee next year or the year after is a return to actual contention. We have to see when eiserman, Nelson, Schaefer and the other kids make the show
