if Compher, Chiarot and Holl keep being used on the PK, esp with any regularity, the PK will remain awful. no question about it.
if Kane stays healthy and looks decent and is decently productive, i think he has a good shot. but only Guerin and the guys in that room know the real situation or what it would take. my take is – the Olympic roster is 25 guys. that is a huge roster. if you can't find a place for Kane on a 25 man roster, that's pretty pathetic. and would be a black cloud over the whole thing for Team USA. there is a groundswell of support for Kane's inclusion from fans and media and it seems to only be getting stronger. the question is whether Guerin and company are looking for reasons to take Kane, or are looking for reasons not to take Kane. which is something we can't know unless we are in the room. but they have to have noticed that everyone wants him on the team.
This team has no identity. We are going nowhere fast until we get some sort of team identity.
Take 1: Buy. Talbot is heading back to Edmonton at some point this season.
Take 2: Sell. Middle of the pack is a gigantic leap. You're looking at jumping at least 12 teams. I think we'll be mid 20s. So, improved, but not in the teens.
Take 3: Sell, unless he gets in all of February, which there's only 4 or 5 games.
Take 4: Buy. Only 14 to surpass his total? He'll probably be 2C. I'd sell 20 goals, but having more than 13, I'll buy that.
Take 5: Sell. I think he'll be here in 26-27. Even if he is one of the top 6 defensemen in the organization, I see him getting a full season under his belt in GR.
Take 6: Buy. Raymond is definitely getting over 90, barring injury.
Take 7: Buy. I think he's probably be 5th on someone's ballot.
Take 8: Sell. I could see Danielson being like Kasper and get called up early in the season.
Take 9: Sell. I don't see Kane making the USA roster. Larkin for sure.
Take 10: Sell. That's not even really a commentary on Gibson, but more on the team defense.
I have no faith in compher or rasmussen's ability to center the third line. Therefore, we need copp and Kasper both at center

Does anyone trust AlJo to play the 1D role with Seider or will Seider get 25 mins a night with Ed playing & we have to worry about the other two pairs?

If Danielson isn't on the roster opening night, I say trade him. I'm tired of over-marinating people in Grand Rapids. Before his value starts to drop, package him with a protected 1st to get some top line help.
Disagree on the Danielson take. He was ready last year or close to. Bedard said he was toughest c to play against. Great skater, great set up man , much stronger now. His potential will be revealed this year
Is there any chance Danielson surpasses Larkin for C1 in the next few years?
Also, just pass on selling ASP. Dudes potentially a perennial Norris candidate.
