    Why would McDavid leave a team that has been to the Conference Finals once and the SCF twice in the last three years to join a team that has never made it past the second round when his reason for leaving is a desire to win?

    Roy is far and away the best add. Between him and Laughton the Leafs finally have some depth in the bottom six.

    Tell me how healthy Matthews is and I can predict their points. If he is like last season, they might not make the playoffs. If he is 95%. They could win the Atlantic.

    Michelli, it is tough. Utah didn't want him, he is trending the wrong way. That said, if he finds chemistry with a healthy Matthews, it could be a career year.

    Joshua is a player the Leafs have needed for ages. I really hope he bounces back.

    They need dakota as much as Reaves. Both spend most their time picking the puck out of their own net. Same for meccelli and Laughton. Roy was the worst plus minus on his team regular season and was minus 5 in the playoffs. Non of those guys play pp all have far worse numbers than they currently have. Give them a chance but I doubt they belong

    Why does everyone think that Marner leaves and the team is now not even going to make the playoffs! I hope this team shows all you up! It was one player that left and the team is going to fall apart. Marner is a great player but he isn’t the hole team and it didn’t work over the nine years that they were together. Let’s just move on!

    This is all click bait about Marner. We got 4 players with the money that Marner was going to make. It made no sense to bring him back. They should have traded him before is no trade kicked in. Marner was never a factor in the playoffs and was pushed around when the going got real.

    Most leaf fans I know wanted to trade salary for depth. Not quite like this but more depth for sure. They still need to improve the top six.

    just a comment on how many points they'll get this year ,,,I think they're going to have extra motivation with Marner gone…. And being underdogs now they're gonna show everyone what' there like without Little Miss marner!!!!!

    Maccielli has great vision as seen on Youtube videos, he can thread a needle with his dishes…he possibly could make us all think Mitch who?
    Theres also Cowan who could be ready as Marner was when he arrived…
    Going to be an interesting season to say the least.

    Mike … McDavid will never be a LEAFS with that INSANE contract Treliving isn't that stupid to sign a COACH KILLER of the NHL and a PANSY that doesn't drop the gloves ONLY uses his STICK to defend himself …MARK this on you calendar…LEAFS got rid of 1 PANSY Marner the LEAFS do not need another
