Sad we ran a elite player off his hometown childhood team. However, that interview and the one with Vegas destroyed his image here. He was checked out a long time ago. Agreed it this was completely unnecessary. This is all the making of Mitch, again being a B*tch. Glad he's gone!!!!!

Marner isn’t gone because of his extremely elite hockey skills , he’s gone because of his extremely piss poor attitude and lack of mental toughness.
also anthony is wrong marner had 93 points in contract year matthews had 36 goals goals and like 60 points not defending mitch but he did lead the team in points every year leading up to the contracts

ummm i'm friends with Stephanie and know for a fact while they were out for a walk a man followed them screaming at Marner and Stephanie had just given birth to their son… so anything you people say is a lie and you are just a bunch of idiotic fan boys.
I'm surprised there wasn't any discussion about Paul Marner and his role in all of this. There is tons of evidence (both direct and indirect) that much of the poor behaviour out of the Marner camp is either directly Paul's doing, or Mitch acting in a way that is similar to (or at the direction of) his father.
Leafs shot themselves in the foot getting rid of Marner; another dumb move by management. A drop in the standings is inevitable. Fire Shanahan, at least.

Addition by subtraction. Leaf haters have said for almost 10 years that Marner was soft overpaid garbage. Now all of a sudden the Leafs are screwed without him. Make up your minds meatheads
While I am not a fan of Babcock or his methods, he did expose Mitch. He was against drafting him from the beginning. If you watched the CBC documentary from years ago, you knew what kind of player he was going to be and the challenges his family would be bring.
