Over, eighth in the division.
I love that the last game the sharks won of the year was against the leafs and the game was a month before the season ended.
There will come a day when the whole league will know Nazar's name and will finally pronounce it correctly.

That was a refreshing take. It's nice to hear a generally realistic assessment of the Hawks' rebuild situation from outside of the local Chicago media, for a change. That being said, I'm glad they had "bad vibes" last season. It was a sign that losing isn't acceptable, and things shouldn't be fun. As for Bedard looking miserable, it's because he was in the effin' penalty box! Of course he was unhappy! Sheesh.
As a Hawks fan, last year they were a lot better after the guys who didn't want to be there in Hall and Jones were moved.
As a ticketseason holder, the Hawks rebuild is not just starting. Its in about Phase III. Its been ten years since the last cup win, and we've made the playoffs once since then. There is some signs of hope this year and the hope is our young "new core" of players start paying out like Toews, Kane, Keith, and Seabrook did. I think they will hit the over in points and hopefully take some strides forward.
They will be bad and won't get McKenna. I think The Sharks are more likely then them. But it will be the Penguins because the NHL is rigged.
I hate that Bedard is held this insane expectation. The dude is a kid for all intent and purpose. He's doing great. Let's just allow him to be Connor Bedard.

I wonder which of the Blackhawks young defensemen get moved out. They have Vlasic who is locked up long term but then you have Kaiser, Crevier, Korchinksi, Levshunov, Allan, Del Mastro, Rinzel. There is simply not enough space. Up front a lot of our guys are going to be ready in the next year of two when many of expiring deals on veterans like Foligno, Dickinson, Mikheyev, Lafferty, and then the following year in Burakovsky and Teravainen. We already have Bedard, Nazar, Slaggert, Dach, (Reichel is still only 23 if you want to count him) consistently in the lineup, then add Moore, Frondell, Boisvert, Vanacker, Lardis, among many others who are still very young.

Last year in the beginning felt a lot like when we got flurey and we tried to go the playoffs

I’m a Hawks fan, but it does give you a bit of a reality check when you listen to those who have a distance to the organisation speak about the team. I’m not expecting great things, much the same as last year, it will be a struggle and I think we as fans over inflate the Hawks potential moving into this season.
Something they didnt touch on/ maybe didnt know is that the blackhawks have alot of BEEF in their future. They got some corn fed bois coming in that have a good shot of maling the team this season or next
Long time viewer, i hate when steve says “cup of coffee”. It’s not the phrase, it’s how he says it. Not hating, will keep watching regardless. Just asking for a new phrase, plz innovate. 🫶🏼
SJ and Chicago are entirely different markets. SJ LOVES their team, through and through, til the end. Chicago fans can bounce around to other sports when the Blackhawks suck, and overall, are just more critical and negative. The market matters quite a bit for the narrative.
