Roy said that giveaway was on the team for not being in good spots for outlet (4th line forwards) then Mayfield keeps the guy to the outside and goalie should've had it. Not too worried
Schaefer looked great, realistically one of those penalties isn’t being called in the regular season. Power play still needs a lot of work though from the looks of it (shooting the puck).
I’m excited about him and feel he should be in the lineup full time, ease him in as the season goes on I’m sure he’ll start on the third pair and second PP unit, let him average maybe 17 minutes a game until you feel you can trust him to do more. This is a year where if we make the playoffs great but if not we sell hopefully get another top pick and with the extra cap space we look to make that splash next offseason to put us in contention, a lot to be excited about. Still have George and Ritchie who are likely ready but might spend a lot of time in Bridgeport this season but next season should be full time nhl contributor’s
Watching it live he is 100% making the team. His speed and skating is very impressive. Let’s face it, the team is not stacked defensively. Unless he takes a step down he will be there all season
He is already a star. When they announced MS got the assist UBS erupted (louder than they did for the actual goal scorer)
At the end of warm ups when there was a bit more room on the ice he started dancing a bit and boy he can skate
