  1. The Wild lost Marc-Andre Fleury and replaced him with Cal Petersen. Granted, they are hoping Jesper Wallstedt will be NHL ready this year, but I wouldn't make that bet. Their biggest signing was Nico Sturm and their biggest trade acquisition was Vladimir Tarasenko.

They got worse unless their young players really take a step up.

  2. If ohgren does well in the nhl and yurov develops during the season that could do a lot to help the secondary scoring (having a healthy lineup might be a good first step instead though).

  3. Does anyone else hear like a beeping sound throughout the entire recording of the podcast today? I can't unheard it just sounds like the small beep sound from like an old digital watch people used to wear before cell phones

  4. Wild fan… Yeah, injuries. The whole team dealt with injuries except Rossi and Boldy (officially). This year we are a better team especially with so many young guys who are finally NHL ready.

  5. Cutting your losses is 100% the correct phrase to use. No return that you will get will be satisfactory. As Bill Guevin you simply have try and figure out what's the best (or should I say least worst) trade out there.

  6. 8:10 That's the problem Kaprizov has. If he leaves, he isn't getting $16m+, especially if he has a specific destination in mind. He will have to give up money in order to leave.

  7. The wild had a record of 26-11-4
    When injuries hit, BUIEM WALLSTED
Will be in the hunt for the CALDER CUP, I have them at 112 points for the season, Gus bus is a top 5 goalie
Kaprizov played the best hockey in the first half, you cannot trade Kaprizov he's got a full no trade, Minnesota has one year to show Kaprizov this can be a real Cup contender, there's problems in management, that have to be sorted out, and Kaprizov has the power to do it Denny from Locked on Wild

  8. Im getting tired of the whole notion of "Letting player go for free" if you don't trade him ~a year before his contract ends. You get a season of said player, which in case of Kaprizov is most likely worth way more than you would get in any trade.
