Otter unfortunately had a little bit of a rough game yesterday. I feel like he may have played himself out of a roster spot & it doesn’t help that Sullivan already prefers vets in the lineup.
That head hit will likely draw a suspension, which will translate into a bs ticket back to Hartford for Othmann.
If performances match what we saw yesterday, even if guys don't make the NHL right away, we have some great candidates for call ups.
Anybody know where Matthew Robertson is?
Can't take too much from yesterday's game except that I liked the energy level & the structure was so much better, even if it was mostly rookies. Parsinnen played well & if he can keep that up when the competition gets better toward the end of camp, he has a shot at the center spot. Remps was great & he's playing with so much more confidence. One guy who doesn't get much love is Vaak, but I mentioned before that I'd rather have him with Borgen than Soucy. Othmann had a rough game, but context matters & his linemates weren't the greatest either. Roobroeck is really good around the net as he was when I watched him play in a Hartford game last year.
Roobroeck had good game. Won lots of face offs which will help his status.
