@Devils du New Jersey

Aperçu de la saison des diables du New Jersey 2017-18

Non, je ne vais pas jeter les démons. C’est simplement une reconstruction. Cela arrive à tout le monde et il y a des joueurs solides à construire. 1. Okay. … whoever was SAYING that Matthews was starting on the 3rd line is nuts*** was never on the 3rd line
Hischier is definitely NOT starting on the 3rd line (1st line center) and BTW Hall is a RW, so top line will be…..

    Johanssen – Hischier – Hall

  2. Would offersheeting Draisaitl (the max salary before hitting the 4 1st round picks compensation) and trading Henrique for a top 4 dman bring us to a playoff spot or at least almost complete the rebuild?

  3. I think Johansson moves over to 2RW and Zacha moves up to 2LW. Guys like Quenneville Speers and McLeod will likely battle for those 3rd line wing spots

  4. Greene shouldn't be a top two defense. We love him but he's simply not a top pairing guy. Would love to see Santini make the big step up. Also, Blake Speers WILL make the team. Wouldn't be shocked if Mikey McLeod made the team out of camp. At least for 9 games, then going back to juniors. Wouldn't be mad about Kapla being an extra D-Man but I think by the end of the season Colton White will fit that slot, or even Jacobs. All depends how they look in Binghamton this fall.

Also, I'm not feeling too confident anymore saying Scott Wedgewood is the number 3 goalie. Not even a slight to Wedgewood, but Mackenzie Blackwood will be making a season case for why he should be the 3rd goalie this season. He had a shaky first half of his starts with Albany but really flipped the switch in the backend of the season. NJ is banking on Mack Black to be the future of this organization so I would not be shocked at all if they give him an extended look throughout the season.

  5. Devils fan here, I agree that Hischier will probably end up the 1C in NJ by the end of the year. I've heard from Washington fans that Johansson can play both sides so I think a solution might just be having our second line as Zacha-Henrique-Johansson. I really don't want McLeod or Speers thrown to the wolves and placed right into that 2nd RW role, I'd rather see Johansson take it or even throw someone like Lappin or Noesen there as a place holder until McLeod or Speers is ready.

I also agree with your prediction, the Devils got better, we've got probably our best top 6 since the 2012 cup run but we're still not quite there yet. The defense is still a major concern for us. Severson is a legit top pairing guy but after him the talent level on the blueline drops hard. Santini showed potential, I'm hoping he continues to develop. I'm not sold on Mueller. I don't see how Prout stays on this team with Jacobs and Kapla nipping at his heels. The Metro is stupidly good, I'm expecting 8th, I'd be really happy with 6th.

  6. Most Goal Projections if healthy
    Taylor Hall 32
    Kyle Palmeri 28
    Nico Hischier 25
    Adam Henrique 21
    Marcus Johansson 20
    Pat Zajac 17
    Pavel Zaha 14
    Brian Boyle 10

    Goalies Projections
Corey Schneider 33-22-5 2.33 GAA .922 Save Percentage 7 Shutouts

Keith Kinkaid 6-8-1 2.62 GAA .913 Save Percentage 1 Shutout

Scott Wedgewood 3-2-0 2.22 GAA .931 Save Percentage 1 Shutout

  7. very good synopsis… i don't understand with the dearth of talent and experience on the blue line that the devils haven't gone after players like markov or fransen.. i know markov is in the KHL thats because he didn't get any offers.. that was brutal to see happen. also to bring in guys like vanek.. i want to see the devils supplement the youngsters with veterans, which is required in this league ughhhhhhhhh

  8. advice: you should move the names further to the right on the board so the names are not hidden behind your big mug. 🙂

You are informed and interesting to listen to. Thanks for sharing.

  9. You forgot about Michael Mcleod who will most likely make the team which enables you to kick a center out to wing or play him at the wing

  10. San Jose traded Mueller mostly because he has literally gone backwards in his development. The last couple seasons he has gotten worse and worse and was barely a top 4 defenseman in the AHL last year. Like he actually almost got bumped to the third pairing in the AHL. Point being, as someone who watched his development for years, I really doubt he will ever be a real NHL caliber dman. To be fair, it is somewhat San Joses fault since they rushed him to the NHL as a 19 year old when he clearly wasn't ready, but still.

  11. +The Hockey Guy – I just can't get used to you starting your videos any other way than an introduction of " Soooooo". It's your trademark intro! When my youtube playlist is on autoplay that's how I know youtube didn't jump channels on me. The first time I heard you say "Greetings" I checked my phone to make sure it was still your channel haha

  12. Man the current team on the ice looks so much better than what’s on the board haha! So glad there were surprise additions!

  13. I love hindsight JESPER BRATT WILL BUTCHER(just got your jersey don't let me down) Brian Gibbons? Wow Brian Gibbons 20 points 1st in metro Merry Christmas

  14. Little did they know guys like Butcher and Bratt would step up to the table. Little did they know Boyle would be an absolute beast. Little did they know Gibbons would be one of the high scorers on the team. Little did they know they would be on top of the metro.
