Hopefully we are not just getting too influenced by some good looking preseason play… until they faceoff for real we need to keep our expectations subdued if we have learned anything from the last 14 seasons.
Mattias Samuelsson needs to go. Trade him. It is too obvious. He is always hurt so therefore completely unreliable.

Sabres D had roughly 20 more points than FLAs D in 24-25. Haven't checked every team but BUF might have had the highest scoring D in the league at 190+ points in 24/25. Dahlin is close to 70 alone, Byrum + Power combined 80. Add Lord K-Rings 29 (as a 3rd liner) you're at 180 points with those 4 players. Like a high output supercharged LS engine… This Sabres D is a frankenstein, one of the most potentially offensively explosive D-cores seen in Sabres history. And If MRTKA could go, and learn on the fly (obviously start him out sparingly with conservative minutes and gradually raise his minutes if he can adapt)… Man you might have a top D-core that could be the driving force (in addition to a super high energy more physical forward group) of pushing this team into the playoffs (and therefore making the Sabres an attractive destination for the one, 2 or 3 clutch additional peices needed for a serious cup push heading into the proceeding 2020 years) 👍 🏒 💯
I know that sports talk needs content, but can we at least see A players playing against A players first, or opposing teams that are not trying to juggle 3 games in 3 days? This team has an insanely awesome preseason record the last 4 seasons and then this same exact conversation happens.
Nice video. I am more hopeful, too. I have heard some of these experts being high on the Sabres, too, plus I watched some of the preseason games and see something promising. But, I've been wrong before about them and being too optimistic. Maybe this is the year. We'll see.
It's good that they're optimistic I guess but they still have no chance of ending the drought and the Sabres getting 93-95 pts is absolutely crazy they're a 55-60pt team all day Kevyn Adams didn't do nearly enough to get this team into the playoffs
