Trading for Zetterlund was the worse trade ever, this guy is not fighting, he is not scoring & he is not contributing in any way. Ostapchuk would certainly have gotten involved & dropped the gloves where as Zetterlund is a European player who does not engage in this kind of hockey. I have everyone on Ottawa ahead of Zetterlund who I think may not even be a 13th forward on this team, the worse trade ever. I'll take Cousins over Zetterlund at least Cousins will fight & defend teammates. Zetterlund scoring once every 20 games is not going to cut it, we need to get rid of him.

The Senators need to stop trying to outgoon the Habs. We don't have the Neanderthals to match the Hanson brothers, I mean the Xhekaj brothers. There's also no way we ever come out ahead with the pro Montreal reffing. Apparently, if you're a Habs players you can leave the bench to start a fight and nothing happens. Xhekaj jumps McEwan and is pounding on him when he's down on the ice and then rips his helmet off in a gorilla move that was not part of the fight. McEwan didn't even get his gloves off. How is that even? It's 5 (fighting) + 2 (helmet) for Xhekaj against at worse 2 (roughing) for McEwan. Meanwhile Struble breaks Jenik's nose with a crosscheck to soften him up and then jumps him. Yet again, nothing special to see here for the refs. I concede the hit from behind that started it all, but for the Sens to be two players down after all that was a farce.
Pillzy, you are so wrong. I’m francophone, from Saguenay (200 km north of Quebec City) and I was a Nordiques fan. I turned to Ottawa because I despise the Habs and the Leafs. I followed Colorado, but it’s far away and I became a full time Sens fan.

I've got to ask Ross, you keep pushing the idea of Yakemchuk staying up with the team (if not now, later in the season). How do you see that making sense? Unless we have an injury, our right D depth is Jensen, Zub, Spence and Matinpalo. None of those guys are waiver exempt, and none will survive waivers. So we keep 5 right Ds up? Is it worth burning the first year of Yak's ELC on, say, 20 games? Doesn't it just make much more sense to give him another year in Belleville to be the number one guy, play in every situation, get better defensively, get stronger, and at most play 9 games up this year. The Sens aren't in desperate rebuild mode anymore, they can take the time to develop their young (he just turned 20) talent. I'd make a similar argument for starting Sogaard instead of Merilainen. Let's not lose yet another tall goalie because we're too impatient to let them develop.
