Forester Cates Brink will be a line all year…. Most likely 3rd…. Dvorak has been playing wing in camp and preseason also. I like the mix of forwards, we just need a 1D, 1C, and a goalie, no biggie!😂
I agree with many of your points.
The youth is something that was a bit understated. Current flyers roster has holes, but we have two prospect goalies who look close to top tier quality, as well as a few European, NCAA (Martone) and Junior prospects that are cooking nicely as well.
If some of the youth take bigger steps on their respective teams we may have some holes in the current roster filled in house over the coming years.
Bump, Bonk, Barkey, Zavragin, Luchanko, Martone, Bjarnasson, and a couple of European guys whose names I forgot because they arent reported on as frequently as our other prospects, all have decent shots to make the roster in the near future.
For this year expect improvements to PP, 5v5 goals for and lower goals against. Tocchets concepts of taking away shooting lanes and how to shift coverages on defense should help reduce our goals against, and his concepts for offense seem to be to leverage the strengths of the individual players and adapt them to the flyers systems. Hope is at an all time high under Tocchet, from what i can see anyways.
