Yzerplan alive and well.
pretty sure his last name is pronounced (nee-gard)
I was at this game! Such a good game.
MBN has just continued to get better and better all training camp and pre season. It’s wild to see these young players showing so much progress over the course of a month. Never seen it like this before since I started watching the Wings. Great youth development, that’s how you get into the post season
It's NEE-gard not NEW-gard.
Wings are getting in the top 3 in the Atlantic.
Good win but… a few red flags. This was a close game between the Wings main Roster and players who are likely Marlies but they had some killer turnovers and Gibson had a rotten night.
We'll see who males the cut and how well the kinks get hammered out for Thursday.
Gibson looked AWFUL…concerning
If MBN, and ASP arn't on the roster Stevie Y can kiss my butt…..I don't care how much these old dead weight players cost. Play the best players and it's obvious that you can cut bait with compher and Holl heck even Gustafson for that matter, where's he been?
Finnie has been good but I feel like he's probably going to get the unenviable first callup position. MBN, I think, made his case. He is the guy who will start the season with the big club. Yzerman is going to have a tough call to make on ASP. He could absolutely start the season with the wings, but with so many d-men brought in that's going to have to mean someone moved out. For ASP it's top 4 or bust. If not they'll let him go to Grand Rapids to play top pair minutes.
Gibson has not played well at all in the preseason. Nygard is pronounced "NEEGARD". I repeat, Nygard pronounces his own last name "NEEGARD".
Should keep axel , Nate D, and MBN and Finne up here I truly believe it would just push the youth harder. I truly believe each of those players would push each other to be better and reach their potential faster compared to just bringing up one or two
I am shocked that you don't say "Nuelander" all the time. Instead you destroy Nygard's name while simultaneously claiming to be a Detroit fan.
When Kane first came to the Red Wings, he commented in one of his interviews on how overly simplistic the systems were. McLovin commented this preseason that he’s trying to get the kids up to speed while Kane is seven steps ahead. I think last night showed play formats that are finally what Kane has been waiting for.
Look at the Red Wings D core on puckpedia – Seider is only player signed to multi year deal. Johansson has two seasons…of course ASP starts Thursday. The whole squad are place holders.
