Staying in Edmonton is pretty clear proof that winning doesn't matter to him. If it did, he would throw his weight around and tell them to get a blueline that can actually play defense and a having a starting goalie better than Stuart fucking Skinner.

I was thinking that a short term deal in Edmonton would be the best for him if the cup is his ultimate goal. They have been in the cup final two years in a row and I would say that Edmonton and Florida are the teams to beat. But if Edmonton can't get it done under this contract, he should get to leave without any backlash. This is a huge bargain for Edmonton, I hope he gets the Cup with them and retires as an oiler

Many other players in the NHL are just looking incredibly greedy, I wonder what ticket prices will look like in 2 or 3 years? Huge respect to you Connor, the game is more important than money, you will get your bigger pay day and you already deserve it.
