    1. Putting the team and his teammates first
    2. Gave management an opportunity to be able improve the team dramatically as cap space increases.
    3. Proving that money isn't more important than the love of game and the desire that comes from the heart no tjr cheque book.
    4. Showing the fans and the city his commitment to them as well.
    PS My condolences as well on the loss of your coworker and friend Dave. Life is the most important game we all play and obviously he was an important member of your team.

    Connor is a true Oiler , on and off the ice . I herd this in a rumor mill , that Connor wants another impact player . When Ken Holland was here , he inherit a mess to clean up , he did his best . And now Connor did his part and now Bowman has to finish the job of building a dynasty team to win the cup 2 or 3 times . Lets go Oilers , your time has come to win the cup Condolences to your co workers family . I lost 7 customers in the past 3 years from cancer . Its very sad when you think about it , everyone wasn't that old , still working hard and never had a chance to retire .

    The real Cup or Bust era begins now. No matter what happens — win or lose — my respect and love for Connor McDavid will never fade, only grow stronger. He’s given everything to this team and this city. The captain owes Edmonton and Oilers fans absolutely nothing. He’s already the GOAT in my eyes.
