  1. Yall so dumb. Mathews never signed for 8 years and you never had any of this talk. You guys are trash

  2. Bettman interview he's talking about being excited about how teams have improved trying to push others out of the playoff picture and how parity is great. But like what is he talking about? Every team stayed the same because there's too many teams and not enough talent. Can't give up on guys because there's no on else.

  3. If Mitch had did this it would have fix his PR soo much. Guess who shares McDavid’s agent?

  4. Kyper wipes away Sammy's tears with a "he's only there for two years." Why am I here? To laugh at the Toronto homerism. How long before you start talking about Mitch again?

  5. Minnesota's Krap Krapri$ov F@CKED HIS TEAM for MONEY. Taking 25% of your teams salary means the WILD will be basement dwellers for the next 5 years! McDavid shows you what a class player does to help his team try to win a cup! Krapri$ov is GOLD DIGGING RUSSIAN B!TCH!

  6. McDavid has Sidney as a model and knows your legacy is more than about $$$. Unfortunately Marner isn’t as bright. That’s selfcentered mentality

  7. McDavid taking a discount is fine, but then Walman gets a 100% raise from his previous contract. All the savings already went to one guy lmao

  8. The salt, the tears and the gnashing of teeth from the east of Canada.

One of the better Mondays I ever had.

  9. I love the purposefully controversial take Kyper take on McDavid and how hopeless most are in not understanding this is kyper's role… to entertain … to have fun converations that people enjoy listening to and keep coming back… kyper is good at his job.

  10. The way I look at the McDavid contract… I think Edmonton got screwed by Covid more than any other team. They signed Draisaitl to a great deal in '17-18 for $8.5M, then McDavid signed the season before the pandemic and the stagnant cap. So McDavid's contract should have been a much smaller percentage of the team's overall cap by 2025-2026. Prior to the pandemic, the cap was projected to be at somehwere around $112.5M for the 2025-2026 season. McDavid's 12.5M would have been only 11% of his teams cap! Or, last year, Draisaitl's $8.5M of what was formerly projected to be around $107.2M and McDavid's $12.5M would have been only 19.6% of the team's cap. Instead their contracts were 23.9% of the cap. They would have been able to spend much more on the players around him from 2020 to 2025. The Oilers were really screwed to have a stagnant cap during McDavid's prime years right after he signed a big contract. The Oilers should have had about $86M to spend around McDavid and Draisaitl by the end of Draisaitl's contract, instead they had $67M. An extra $19 million would have gone a long way to building contenders. Instead they had to search for players looking for second chances and build around the fringes and they couldn't go after any big goalie names. So McDavid making a bit of a correction for that is understandable.

  11. Crosby didnt take any discount. He took the second highest %of team salary cap ever.

  12. McJesus pulled a Crosby. There's no choice he could have made that wouldn't be a risk. Sports is sports. If he wins, it won't matter at all. Would McDavid pay $20m – infinityM to win a Cup if that was possible? I have zero doubt.

  13. Way to stick your middle finger up at the Union Connor and everything those sleaze balls stand for!

  14. The difference is Matthew’s and Marner didn’t believe in the team, so they took the money. McDavid believes in himself and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sign another extension in a couple years to be a lifer oiler, but make them pay. Something like 20 million for 8 years haha

  15. What is the identity of a 3rd line of Joshua, Domi and Nicky? How does Berube deploy them until Laughton is back? It's not a shutdown line, and the three totaled only 30 goals last year. This doesn't look much like the "change" necessary. What else ya got, Tre?

  16. You guys all act like he doesn’t make millions of revenue from other sources like brand deals, commercials etc It’s not like he can only make money from taking a bigger contract but Kyper acts like he is ruining his money making years by taking a couple mill less which I think is a bit dramatic

  17. He left 12-20M on the table. That is something you will regret in 20 years, especially if he gets divorced.

  18. Kyps lost it, yall scared, etown is walking into the free agency with 10mil under the cap. 23mil under next season and the two headed dragon is still intact.😮

  19. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂cry harder toronto 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  20. He can't tarnish his legacy doing this. It's up to the oilers now. He's taken a discount to win. Guy just gave up 16 million in two years. He's not to blame when he leaves to win.

  21. Bullshit banning the Russians. Look at all the crap the US did in the middle east over the past 25 years.

  22. Lol what bad takes hahaha. If it was Marner signing a cheap deal to help the 'Core 4' stay in toronto they would be drinking champers live on tv.

  23. I can’t believe anyone thinks the Oilers are contenders. Their bottom 6 forwards and bottom pairing d is trash. In fact, the only thing that’s worse is all of their goalies. This team isn’t making it out of their division this year, much less winning a Cup. Book it

  24. Fix it??? The only thing that stopped them from winning a cup was a juggernaut called the Florida Panthers. Jesus. Back to back Finals and western conference championship 3 out of 4 years.

  25. Last two Seasons Mcdavid scored 26, 32. He's been in the league for 10 years. His numbers are declining. I'm surprised he signed 2 two year deal. Guy is not getting any younger . He should've signed long term elsewhere.

  26. I'm not buying into Woll leaving bc of a family matter. It's sounds like he's doing time in jail… 🙂

  27. I normally like Nicks views on hockey, but he lost credibility today. Justin pushed back a bit, and Sam will be Blue Jayed until the run ends, so they get a pass. Nick focusing on the Oilers goalies and defense is weak! If any of the Core Four hadnt squeezed every penny out of gutless Dubas, Nick would be building statues of them around the arena! 😂

  28. "it's only 24 months" guys that rely on their speed knees go by 30 and it's 36 months cuz he still had this szn on the ticket.
