You know I've been high on Grits for a while now. I watched every minute of film available on the kid and knew his potential. Love seeing it play out. We should let him cook for a little in the role he is in now, and we can eventually move him up the lineup as he grows with the team and gains more confidence. Exciting times!

I know we won, but Marky does not look good through. The first 2 games. defense and offense look good, marky does not. Also Halonen was called up with Dadonov out. I hope they keep him up and don’t do a rotating carousel of him and lechance etc
Brown and Gritsyuk are going to take the pressure off the top 6 all season. This is going to be fun to watch.
A few nights ago I was questioning Gritsyuk being a 4th liner. He can stay there as long as he is getting real minutes.
Markstrom was making huge saves during that game and against Carolina. He did let in a couple softies. With that said, he also made game saving saves last night and the last goal he was screened by Nemec. I have faith in him.
Teams hitting goalpost is the same as any missed shot, so all those pings we heard just let you know the shooters have bad aim, lol

What a Beautiful Win, much much needed win and 2 points next up the blue jackets and on Another note, Dadonov is out and they called up Brain Halonen so we shall see where he ends up. But back to the win, we need to keep this going not only passing and scoring but the physicality and the body checking and standing up for each other and most importantly dropping the gloves and answering the bell when that time comes.
Loved the fight back in the first. Tampa came out thinking they were going to run rough shod over the Devils. Markstrom kept the game interesting at the end. Gritz and Connor Brown seem to be getting some chemistry together, nice to have depth scoring. Columbus is good at home so the Devils better bring the same effort tomorrow. Lets Go Devils!

That last period was crazy, I was shocked I thought they were gonna choke but every guy just absolutely laid their bodies on the line and went all in till the last second. Bratter on an absolute tear, Grits first points, Luke 4 points. Exciting. Is this the season where the team can play a full sixty minute game??
