The team simply has low morale. Running it back with Adams and garbage coaching staff will do it.

Ruff also mentioned Tuch and Power “walking it in” in regards to scoring chances.
This all started in 2010 when Pegula stated," I will go all out in getting the Sabres to win 'Cups." He then proceeds to hire 6 coaches with little or no experience (not including Ruff) and 3 GM's with NO experience.

Lyon playing good is a HUGE plus though. He kept the Sabres in both games until the very end. Both of those games were winnable until under 5 minutes in regulation. But yeah, beyond that overall they look flat and uninspired.
