Players need to do a better job of holding each other accountable, and that starts with Larkin, Raymond, and Seider. Leading by example isn't working. Somebody needs to fill Perron's shoes and start calling guys on their bullshit. Seems like some guys are more concerned with being the bestest buds forever and ever than winning hockey games.
I was watching ASP’s breakout passes and trying to remember when the last time was we had a player who could do that. I’m impressed.
Maybe Holl or Gustafsson continue to play well in
Grand rapids, and the Panthers or another team looking for a stop gap defenseman due to injuries come calling at some point. In extended ufa, there is scraps. 40 year old Suter, Jon Merrill, de haan, etc. could sign in florida and find the fountain of youth as usual. Why not try a solution already in the AHL with our depth defensive veterans? If gus and Holl stay, they are depth along with Mitchell, Lagesson, Buium, Wallinder. The Griffins looked stacked.
Rasmussen has looked like a sleeper agent doing everything he can to sabotage this team. At one point he took a faceoff and froze like his controller ran out of batteries and just watched the other team score.

Really noticing a lot more communication from the boys this season, you can see it when they are out on the ice
Talking about the4th line, I think the first fix comes with taking Ras out of the lineup or putting him on the wing. Ras plays well when he is physically engaged, right now he is leading the league in nothing/60. Appleton has looked like the only bright spot on the line, the battle for the 3rd spot on the line is wide open, Berggren and Soda have done nothing to earn the spot, hopefully JVR is better in game 3. My personal preference is Danielson, when he is healthy, throw him in at center, Appleton stays and then figure out who the final piece of the lineup is.
Also, no more Hamonic, I'd rather see Buium get a shot when healthy or Gus over Hamonic.
I know everyone is on cloud 9 but Toronto is pissed and gonna be looking for revenge. Prove to me you can be consistent as a team effort and embarrass them again at home. It's not an easy October; show me some change for the better. McClellan needs to keep his boot on their necks and keep them on their toes all season long or feed them to the waiver wire.
kane was a point per game after mclellan took the reigns last season compared to half a point under lallonde. hes going to have an 80 point game mark my words.
