  1. As an Oiler fan during the Shremp era, it was very frustrating for many of us to see skilled players like Shremp, and even Linus Omark not get a fair shake with management at the time.

  2. I reffed him when he was in the AHL with Portland and he was honestly amazing to watch up close and definitely one of the most skilled players I have ever seen play hockey.

  3. I wonder how this click bait works, I bet he was playing for edm and refused to play a game against jets..

  4. Funny how this works. He blames HIMSELF over a lot of things in Edmonton etc but yet still complains about how he was handled? Ok buddy. Take a good look in the mirror. We all knew he had attitude and was uncoachable. He was all about the flash and dash and not about NHL systems

3 points in 4 games all assists too. He was supposed to be a goal scorer? Not buying it. There are reasons buddy

And seeing all the European teams he has played on? Clearly it's a HIM issue and less than a management issue. He still hasn't grown up

Just because you put up numbers here and there in junior etc, doesn't mean you get the keys to the palace

Also, it took Dubnyk 3 teams to find himself and his game before he finally looked amazing as an NHL goalie like 8 years into his career

Montreal didn't even let him play one game. So dont blame Edmonton for misusing Dubnyk. Nashville and Arizona passed on him too.

  5. He was a great player to watch in London, but he always had issues scoring on better goal tending at higher levels. He simply wasn't willing or able to adapt to not being a top scorer or playing on a top line when that clearly wasn't in the cards for him anymore. Players with less skill got further than him because they were willing to do whatever it took and adapt their game. Brandon Prust was a perfect example of this.
