They looked like a team embracing new coach and system. Panarin and JT looked a little slow. They will be fine. Defense looked more solid.

(lol)…but seriously, nothing has changed. yeah the team looked slow, JT is recovering, it was Panarin's 1st game, they keep these tired aging veterans who are serviceable at best on the 3rd line while a spark plug who played well despite injury last year goes to Harford. Nothing changes around here, same old same old.
I do think they will have a better season and it's just game 1 but a few holes need to be filled before this team is relevant. Again, too many grade A scoring chances against…but anyway on a bright note last night and in preseason Lafreniere has had energy and has been buzzing and should have a 30 goal season if healthy, which they need from him, granted most opportunities were from the perimeter but he looks confident again and is freezing defensemen..it will be an interesting season, different!
