  1. Wow I am incredibly happy with Talbot's play, and I loved Larkin not giving up until he found that first goal!

Thanks for the videos as always awood, you're the absolute best.

  2. It's unrealistic to think that Talbot can do that every game but if he gives us even close to that level and we start playing better in front of him we may have a legit chance at making the playoffs

  3. Detroit is going to need to work on getting the puck out of their zone and not giving it back to the other team.

  4. This looks like an NHL 26 game. The team with 45 shots loses & the team with 15 shots has 3 goals

  5. Random suggestion for awood40 that I was talkin about with a few people earlier: Show like half of the Detroit losses too. Not the blowouts obviously but, the close games. That way, for those who cannot watch it on TV, we can watch and still have the excitement of 'are they gonna win' from the highlights! It kind of takes away from the enjoyment when you know 'oh well its an awood video of course they won.' I realize noone wants to see them lose a ton of games but, at least this way we might see say, 40 wins 20 losses and we will have that energy and happiness when they do win, from watching the highlight videos!!!!
There's a lot of games where yes they lose but, it's still enjoyable to see the progress of the young players, and see the team outplay their opponent, even if they come up short. But obviously noone wants to see them blow a big lead or get totally killed in a game, etc. Say they go 40-32-10. Even putting like, the 40 wins, 6 losses and 6 OT losses, would be enough to keep the viewers on their toes and make it more exciting to watch the clips cause we have to guess!

  6. First point: puck Amazon and the NHL's broadcast deals. This non home market crap sucks. Second point: this pace is going to wear Talbot out like brake pads on an F1 car.

  7. Amazing performance by Talbot. I would have been happy with a point but after Leafs levelled it, I could honestly only see one winner. Saying that, I would have taken the loss over Raymond being out for a stretch. We need him back asap.

  8. WE NEED AN ENFORCER! I am sick and tired of teams running Raymond. Everyone knows without him the Wings offense is reduced by 50%. While it was not a dirty hit that put him out in this game, there were SEVERAL last year and a handful already this season.
Stevie Y. KNOWS EXACTLY why he played as many games as he did without any significant injuries. Two words PROBIE & JOEY! And later D-Mac.

  9. Oh, WAY TO GO CAM!! Soooo glad we picked up Swiss cheese Gibson, and also have the Not Ready For Primetime Cossa hanging in GR, AGAIN. Stolarz is SCARY GOOD! He didn't break much of a sweat this game, but he is an AMAZING goalie.

  10. talbot played out of his head. he really gave these guys a chance to win and they capitalized on their very little chances. call it luck, call it skill, i call it another two points

  11. I think the sjot count is inaccurate to bolster the home fans. I Notice, just in the highlights, where we had 2 or 3 shots on goal, and they never went to the shot clock. When I play goal as a kid, this happened all the time.I know because I would.
Watch the shot board after guys shot at me and I made says and they weren't putting him on the board. This happened all the time in high school. All show, Any shot that even when near the net for the home team usually got put on the board. This obviously screws up the goalie saves percentage.

  12. Incredible goal from Larkin to open the scoring.

Thank you Awood! I hope the Wings keep you busy posting this season.

  13. The Detroit Red Wings and Seattle Mariners had a Great Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. I have to be honest, the Toronto Maple Leafs Roster this year is the weakest Maple Leafs Roster in 10 Years.

  14. The Wings didn't look good against Montreal but they sure have the last 2 games. Talbot looked sharp in both of them.

  15. Edvinsson gave Knies the first goal. Completely out of position. I wish he would get mean and learn how to fight. He could be a real threat. Someday.
