  1. That's an All Star /HOF power play unit…. and NO goals? Lots of around the edgy type stuff and no penetration.

  2. I hope Stamkos is a leader in the locker room because I don’t know if we will see it on the ice. He’s getting a lot of money for 27 goals last year and he got hot to get that.

  3. Allright, now the girls are even harder than me on the team and especially on Stammer- so I will be the devil's advocate here 😉
I will claim this- that one pass from Stamkos backwards to ROR was the one event(or 2 when I think of it- Josi also had a lovely breakthrough pass to Forsberg early in the game that he didnt convert on) that looked truly elite-
Makar/McKinnon chemistry or smth like that. World class- and ROR did convert- so there is that. So no, Stamkos isnt entirely useless, but he sure as hell is invisible for large parts of the game. And- he did not contribute in our PP
yesterday either, which is a cardinal sin if we agree upon why Stamkos was picked up by Barry in the first place. Second, yeah- Saros again had to stop more than 30 shots and we hardly had 20- not sustainable game after game.
Sooner or later we gotta let Justus get started here, too. But hey, some more positive stuff here as well compared to the other 2 games. While game 1 almost was highway robbery from Saros the first 2 periods, this game was more
even steven. Ottawa might have had the puck more, but they were just as ineffective as Preds, or even more tbh. And the Haula line looks good to me. Bunting gets his chin down and attack the slot, going forward with a great example.
Marchy likewise, pushing in some dirty goals after hard work from all 5 guys when they are able to actually put decent pressure on Ottawa and force them to make mistakes- cudos to our guys.
So to conclude, yeah, over 60 mins Ottawa might be the better team out there but not to the extent that this game was a complete robbery, like I felt after the CBJ game. And the boys have grit and stamina, especially positive that they
have had 3. period as their best period in pretty much all 3 games IIRC so far. They got 5 outa 6 pins. Juuse is world class, Carey Price level again, we love that ofc we do. So everything is not completely black.
But guys, we gotta fix that PP. Pathetic stuff, below AHL level bad.

  4. Stamkos doesn't have Kucherov anymore. Nashville has Noone of his caliber on the team. Kuch is the best forward in the game IMO and I have been a Preds fan since day one. And, as for the PowerPlay its only the 3rd game of the season

  5. My biggest concern about Stamkos being terrible is the fact that no matter how bad he plays, or how much he hurts this team, Bruno and Trotz have made it clear that they will not bench him for any reason. That sends a bad message to the rest of the team and to the young kids fighting for a spot.

  6. You haven't lived through power play hell until your team is on a 5 minute major; fails to score while giving up TWO short handed goals.

  7. Will admit i had the same reaction when he dropped it back, "what? No!" But in hind sight i think he knew what he was doing, goalie was anticipating his shot, was totally caught by that move and he knows who he is so he knew that would happen. Agree fully the power play being like 1/15 or whatever it is is not good enough

  8. 5 on 5 I agree stammer needs to be better, I can’t defend him much there. On the pp however I feel as though he’s constantly being shadowed by the opposing players and if he’s not being shadowed, players and specifically Josi, are taking low quality shots are being saved effortlessly that either miss the net, or are getting blocked on their way there. That being said that’s fine but for Stamkos to succeed he needs to be the shooter so if Josi is the shooter on pp1 you keep stamkos out there the full 2 minutes or you just put him on pp2 and let Josi be the shooter on pp1.

  9. Its so easy to focus on the horrendous not so powerful power play. Watching yesterdays game i couldnt help but watch a couple of the young guys Wilsby and Kemell… wilsby looked good with roman held his own the commentators noted it a few times as well. Kemell on the top line was a bit of a welcomed shock and i love it. He threw his body around played physical was engaged. I hope he stays there.

  10. wtf is this? lol… two women talking about a sport they’ve never played… the Karen hockey half hour? Clicked to see what it’s about. Two Karen’s pop up, immediately paused. The chick on the right, her face says she couldn’t care less about hockey and she really doesn’t want to be here. Was looking forward to hear about how bad the preds are but seeing this it’s obvious. lol deuces…

  11. Stamkos doesn't have Kucherov anymore. Nashville has Noone of his caliber on the team. Kuch is the best forward in the game IMO and I have been a Preds fan since day one. Its only game 3 its to early to worry about the power play.
