It was a fun game to watch. I have zero expectations for the Rangers this season so I don’t mind the loss, it was just frustrating that zibanejad fanned on that shot in OT and that led to the game winner.
The second Stolarz isn’t amazing the Leafs will lose, or the second Hildeby is in net and the other team isn’t playing a goalie who is entirely useless (Anunnen). If there was even a meh NHL goalie instead of an AHL backup-caliber guy, the leafs lose. The have to sort the offense out against good goalies.
The Rangers were poor but the maple leafs scored only one goal? Yeah idk what you were watching but it seemed stolarz had to make more high danger chances saves than Igor. I also felt like they shut your big boys down. They had nothing until OT. The Leafs still suck.
