  1. It would be crazy to talk about a missed shot attempt after a game with that many great moments, but that near sided shot ASP almost put in over Skinner’s shoulder was so filthy. That kid is going to be a problem for everyone very soon.

  2. My girlfriend was up In Detroit for work and I went up to see the Panthers game with her. She mentioned that the game is kinda boring and it made me smile. This defense has finally showed up to support the offense that has been there. great game. great run. I don't care if we are only 6 games in this team looks legit.

  3. I cant wait til end of year when.carter bears team gets eliminated and yzerman calls him.up. he made so many little skill plays in preseason. Hes really good. Hes gona help us if we are chasing playoffs. Carter bear plays puck hungry

  4. I still just can't even begin to process the Finnie story. Just how did we get a kid in the 7th two years ago that is already looking this fucking good?

  5. I was definitely one of the "Wait for kids" guys. Lol Especially after free agency. Yzerman would have to bring up some of the kids and hopefully we'd make the playoffs two years later. I'm glad he did it.

  6. But what's underrated here with Steve Yzerman and deserving of the credit is that this is why he leaves guys and the AHL or overseas for the amount of time that he does is because now once he does put them in the lineup they didn't look like this and are ready to not just be on the team but he was contributors to the team!.. 😊

    #Yzerplan/ LGRW!🪽🪽🪽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  7. Last season, around January or February, I wasn't getting as excited as most. After the March collapse, when friends lamented that we were so close, I explained that we never really were that close. Our record seemed better than the team really was, because we had mostly played weaker opponents. Our remaining strength of schedule was by far the toughest among teams competing for a playoff position. Any view of the standings with statistical adjustments to account for this always showed us out of playoff position.

This season so far, it has been the reverse. I was apprehensive going into the season, with the first six games against all tough teams. Would the team lose most or all of these games, sapping team confidence? Now we can see that this didn't happen, and the Wings stand atop the Eastern Conference standings after the opening six games. It is too early to get too excited, but this time a view of the standings with statistical adjustments for strength of schedule would look even better for us!

Now we transition to a block of games against weaker opponents, and that presents a new set of challenges. Do we take them too lightly, and "play down to our competition"? Do the players start to get away from good habits, perhaps still playing well enough to beat weaker teams but losing their edge in the process? I hope not, but we will see over the next few weeks.

  8. Doing a winning streak without DeBrincat having some stat line like 9 goals in 5 games is impressive. Could use some more Kasper points as well.

  9. Feels like 1991 when a few rookies started something special. By the way, what do you think about calling the first line the "LFR" line. Just to remind your buddy Dangle of what's to come for the next several years. Hopefully it's not a copyright strike 😂😂

  10. Not to lecture the Todd father but really would like to see Soderblom, van Riemsdyk and Rasmussen on the road causing mayhem in the offensive zone.

  11. It’s easier for the boys to play good teams. The last few years they played bad against Bad Teams. So just wait 5 more games

  12. Is MBN getting his 10-game look? And if he continues to struggle for points, Mazur takes his spot?

  13. If you can trade Ras, Copp or Compher…you do so immediately. I would keep Bergy and Soderblom. I still believe that if they can play with better players on a consistent basis they can be more productive.

Nate Danielson needs to prove that he is ready to dominate the AHL. It should be easy with how deep GR is. Too many Wings fans have been obsessed with calling him our best prospect with it was clear he wasn't. This is even when Kasper was a prospect.

Carter Mazur should be the number one call-up. It is simple with him. Can he stay healthy? We need to call him up soon and see if he can stay healthy this year.

Lombardi and Wallinder will get chances at some point this season. Both will impress. I could see a team potentially wanting Lombardi.

If teams are trying to trade with us, I could see one of them wanting Mazur and/or Lombardi.

  14. Wings are playing great, no doubt. Remember though that we had both teams at home and the Oilers had 3 games in 4 days so they were tired. There will be some challenges that the Wings will have to endure as we go through the season. However, what a great start that exceeded expectations.

  15. Lol. The Wings already have the guy who will play with Seider next year on the top line. Simon and Seider will be first line teammates once Ben is gone this off-season.

  16. Glad to see the wins and the young players doing well, but we need it to last and we have seen the team get off to hot starts and then come back to earth and lose the winnable games. We will see if they can keep it up it’s early yet.
