@Ducks d'Anaheim

Aperçu de la saison 2017-2018 des Ducks d’Anaheim

Je n’aime peut-être pas l’équipe en général, mais je dois admettre qu’elle a constitué un très bon effectif et qu’elle devrait encore se battre cette saison. 1. I like a lot of your thoughts here. As a Ducks fan, my only concern is essentially what you pointed out a couple times: Corey Perry. Bob Murray came out and said that Perry played the entire season on a sprained MCL, but if he can't find a way to recover, the Ducks need young guys to step up, and that's proven to be an issue at times. I like the Ducks chances to be a contender this year and probably next year as well, but I think there will be a 2-3 year gap between this Cup window and the next one while guys like Max Jones and Sam Steel get that NHL-level experience and prove that they can play the game at the highest level. Either way, it's almost August, so the countdown is beginning for me! Thanks, as always, for the hard work you do on these videos

  2. Hey THG, I'm a Ducks fan and I'm going to be completely non-biased. I agree with you. The Ducks are in, "Win now!" mode.

Like you mentioned they did everything to keep this team intact during the expansion to make a run this year.

I also agree that the Ducks and Oilers will battle for first, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it's only 3 or 4 points that separate the two.

In my honest opinion, they need work on their special teams. As I'm sure you took note of, their special teams were at the bottom during the playoffs and it cost them.
The only reason they got to the Western Conference Final is because their 5 on 5 was so good.

If they can get their special teams performing at the same level as 5 on 5, I wouldn't be surprised to see them holding the Cup.

With Carlyle back for a second year and these guys knowing his style now, I really think they have a shot.

But yes, I agree with you 100%! Great video and great analysis!
    Thank you.

  3. They have the roster to do it but they also had that's the past 5 years and couldn't get it done. I think this has to be the year next year but this year. I wouldn't be shocked if they took a dip this season because of the Veterans and Teams like Edmonton, Nashville and Chicago could be ready for that cup. You only get so many chances and the Ducks have had plenty. Also Hockey Guy you said every time you say they fall apart they don't so Maybe now that you say the won't maybe they do.

  4. Eaves-Getzlaf-Rakell, Cogliano-Kesler-Silfverberg, Ritchie-Vermette-Perry, Kase/Shaw-Rasmussen-Wagner

  5. As a Ducks fan, I genuinely think they're ready to make a push for the Cup. The Rakell-Getzlaf-Eaves line last season really made an impact, so that'll probably stay together. I agree that Perry will bounce back. He had arguably his worst season ever last season, so I guess you can't get much worse than that. Wagner will be playing 4th line RW and Rasmussen will play 4th line C. I think Kase needs more development. I think Jones could possibly bump down Shaw if he really proves himself at training camp. Bieksa is going to get more playing time than you'd expect because it's Carlyle and he loooooves his veterans as opposed to his young guys (I'm hoping he won't, he was a total pylon for most of the season). If the Ducks want to find success, Getzlaf needs to perform close to what he did last season, Perry needs to wake his ass up, the checking line needs to 'do their dew', and Gibson can't succumb to injuries from his fine-china body. Great video as always Hockey Guy.

  6. I have Anaheim in 1st Edmonton in 2nd (that could be interchangeable) and I think San Jose takes 3rd

  7. This is a must win now situation the projected window was 3-4 years and honestly it could be another chance of all downhill after the 4th year

  8. Sorensen left to go back to Sweden. He was showing some promise in preseason but Kase and Shaw proved to be better

  9. Surprise Enroth is not on the list.
whenever Gibson gets injured, Jonas Enroth is backup goalie for Bernier.

  10. I'm ready for the beach finals we were supposed to get in 14-15. Lightning and Ducks in the final. lol

  11. They need to work on getting off to a better start. This team is always a late starter. The last 2 years at least they have been a .500 team up til like late January. Then they seem to flip a switch and look like the best freaking team in the pacific. If they can pick up early season wins but still find a way to do what they do in the 2nd half.

This team should be minimum 2nd in the division.

  12. Are the Ducks your least favorite team? And have you noticed that these last two years they've seemed to get off to slow starts for some reason? I wonder why…

  13. excited about the season, but I don't think Perry and Getzlaf will play together probably Perry Kesler and rackell… Also silfverberg got married this summer, just like perry did the year before last season.. so his performance might sink

  14. Thank you for being optimistic about Perry, because I've watched that dude play for many many years and I can tell how hard he was trying last year despite being injured. People who don't watch Perry regularly don't know he's one of if not the hardest worker on the team. First one on the ice and the last one off the ice, night in and night out. He'll bounce back next year, I'm sure of it.

  15. Rakell Getzlaf Perry
    Cogliano Kesler Silverberg
    Ritchie Vermette Eaves
    Shaw Wagner Kase

    Fowler Vatenan
    Lindholm Manson
    Larsson/Beuchamin Montour

    Gibson
    Miller
