They should definitely ask him if he’s willing to waive.
While it was nice the Rangers won last night. There is still sooo much work that needs to be done. Honestly, I know the Habs are high on Sam Montembeault, there current starting goalie. I just don't think he's all that good. I see a much higher ceiling for there young backup, Jakub Dobes. Like I said, while it was nice to get the win. It took over 40 minutes of hockey played, for the offense to finally get going. I expected growing pains under a new system and head coach. I just never expected the part of the Rangers to regress first, would've been the offense.
To many fans, the answer this morning could be quite different from what the answer would have been only 24 hours ago. Same for several players besides Bread.
Rangers could easily have folded the tents, quit, and slunk away with the early 2 – 0 score.
Instead they came back and toughed out a win.
This week should tell us whether this is something lasting or a flash in the pan(arin).
My guess is that a team playing well in all other areas found its mojo in Montreal.
Where is offense coming from if you trade him? Even at his age and his willy nilly give the puck to the other team 4 dozen times a night style, he's STILL the best they got.
I think Panarin wants to stay in NY, but word is that he has a pretty hard core agent. So Drury needs to wait it out till at least the trade deadline, and then ask him if he'll agree to a trade if he & his agent don't budge. Team is playing great IMO, but the third line really concerns me. I think Gabe is going to come up sooner than later & I'd like to see him line up with Laf & JT. Sheary needs to go to third line or the bench. What is the point of Brodzinski sitting it out all the time. Trade him already! Tough goal on Robertson with the pinch, but Sullivan was right, there should have been support from the forwards, all in too deep. Robertson looks good out there & I'm glad to see him get the chance. He played really well in Hartford last year. The D is playing really well IMO. As for Mika, he's taken a lot of abuse for last year, but I was confident he'd bounce back & he has.
Only way we trade panarin is if we get a scorer back. If the pot was sweetened, maybe we could get a necas or a kempe?
Did you watch last night's game?
Term and cap hit are a concern. Panarin is a great player, but he should come around to the Rangers way and sign a shorter term, team friendly deal. If not, he should be traded at the deadline. There will be plenty of suitors.
It's a bit early to think on this. As we get closer to the deadline then it's a consideration.
If we trade Bread, we should also trade Trochek.
His contract is viable, several teams need help at center.
Regardless, it depends on what you can bring back. 🏒
Yup bye bye panarin your run is done come back as a retiree
He’s toast trade him. And he’s weak in the playoffs. He’s stripped of the puck and left Shesty with a breakaway ditch him
Sure, trade 876 pts in 759 games 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
absolutely ……. opponents know that if they hit him once or twice he will be taken off his game ….. nor will he go to the net…… gimmie the 2 teenagers from Pittsburgh who have size speed and go to the net
