noteworthy point was how little our top line was played. If we're this shallow why wouldn't we lean on our star power to generate more chances?
there is no point in trading to fill injury holes. you will give up more than you get and just permanently hurt yourself. it doesn't even always work. just take your lumps. injuries hurt. try not to get injured. but keep your talent cupboard full when you do.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they traded for Michael Rasmussen. The Canucks really need help down the middle but they’re not going to give up a lot for a 2C so they’ll probably have to target a 3C who plays consistent NHL minutes.

Loss was expected with that thin lineup, I would maybe go for like Zacha, Pageau, or Kadri though idk who we would give up. But from what we know Pat will trade anything to keep this team in contention.
Washington Capitals broadcaster w were surprised that is was Philip Chytil who took that hit , they thought he was out of the league 3 concussions ago .Then when you look back on Chytils concussion history , you can see it’s been sheltered by the Rangers and his agent and Canucks a bit too . How Patrick Alvin could let Puis Suter go with no Pursuit ( Suter 2g 1A plus 3 in 5 Games ) Could the Canucks use Puis Suter right now would he not be better than trading Leckarmaki , Willander and let’s say Coates for the cherry on top for something we already had . The management Is going to go down over this , not Adam Foote

It may not be time to panic just yet but the thinness of this Canucks roster was exposed over in Pittsburgh. The Canucks have yet to qualify for a post-2011 conference final, and since their run to a Stanley Cup final have yet to even win playoff series in consecutive seasons. This may be the season the aftermath of which sees Quinn Hughes traded to another team because the lack of Canucks appearances prompts him to say no to signing another contract with the same team.

The only thing I can come up with as for an explanation to the decreased ice time to Pettersson is load management. A potentially long year if playoffs were involved, a condensed schedule and Olympics could make sense if management is looking at the big picture. The only consistency I can find is they are treating their goalies similarly in respects to load management as both could be going to the Olympics
Edit: Also, it was one of those “throw-away” games with an inadequate roster that a coach could and probably should utilize load management

I agree with what you said, they are sitting rather shallow. As soon at Suter was gone I knew right there we were in trouble. Kane might not have been a bad pickup but damn….we needed a solid replacement for Suter. Chityl is not that guy, not that hes a bad player but not strong in durability. They cannot give up any of our core for a center. No idea what Alvin and the chipmunks can do.
