Connor McDavid n’a marqué aucun but cette saison. 1. Had to miss the game today but I'm curious how many turnovers and how much slow motion non-effort Bouchard gifted us with today!?!

  2. Austin, full disclosure I have not watched an Oilers game since the Battle of Alberta, but you make it sound in the first 3 minutes as though the Oilers have a massive morale issue, which is Knobs' job to fix. I hope he does. I want to see the Oilers playing hockey the way we expected them to this season.

  3. Drasaitl more interested in trying to look cool by partially tucking in his jersey rather than backchecking

  4. You are a trooper and my emotional support for these losses. I had to turn it off in the third, but you stuck with it for the live stream!

  5. Did y'all lose some heart when Kane signed with the Canucks? Asking as a Canucks fan who is seeing both the good and the bad he is bringing.

  6. good game austin. oil fans, keep your heads up you guys are an elite club. sorry about connor browns revenge. 😢

  7. I would like to see more of a TEAM effort in the game. Conner and Drasitl cannot win games by themselves. Of course when they make the money they are making it is hard for the bottome 6 in the line too go on a run. Sorry this might be the next coach firing.

  8. Honestly, it's been a long time since I've thought to myself "this team is fun to watch". No hustle, BORING

  9. I think the problem is that mcdrai isn’t playing enough minutes!!
    They will lose again tomorrow
But at least in Austin we trust 🫡

  10. This was extra disappointing because of the things that seemed to be going right before the islanders game. Finally we could rely on stu, imagine how good him and pickard will look when the team is playing well, then this. I would think wildly inconsistent level of play would make things harder for players trying to adjust or readjust to this system and NHL hockey, but I guess the Oilers are fine with that.

  11. Draisaitl was pale, McDavid uninspired, despite two assists. PP very weak. Knoblauch IMPROVES NOTHING.

  12. I’m kind of glad they played Pickard. Had Skinner been in net, the delusional fans would have blamed him for the loss and a .818 save %. At least we should all be on the same page about the offensive side of this team being absolutely inept thus far.

  13. Loved mcdavids set up tonight , at least he got an assist$ finally.. but yeah it’s been disappointing !! to be honest this is my first year as a full-fledged fan… last year, I became obsessed just before the stanley cup run off.. definitely hoping for more from this team, but like you said early days!

The turnovers are very painful to watch though. Holy hell, can we stop putting the puck right in front of Pickard all the time!? And the back-to-back shorthanded goals they’ve scored on them during the power-play is embarrassing!

I just hope they turn their frustration into something positive

So sad seeing Connor Brown on the other team but good for him for scoring lol

  14. How's that Bouchard character working out so far?

    I'm not clairvoyant. I'm not a prophet. I'm not a hockey god.

I just don't look at this team through biased glasses. Nor any team for that matter.

Bouchard continues to be a problem, to everyone's surprise, besides mine.

I would have happily taken 4 first round picks for Carolina to have taken this plug off our hands for free.

Idgaf about 15 goals and a comical amount of second hand assists he gets off the backs of others. His defensive liabilities, are next-generation at this point.

    He's like a poor man's Erik Karlsson.

  15. We need Hyman, our energizer bunny. Also, when you mentioned getting into the rough stuff, it brought me back to last year’s start and the Oilers only started winning more consistently when they started getting physically involved in the game. Perry had a fight with Veleno in Detroit, the won that game, Nurse and Podkolzin both got into fights in a game against Nashville, then Perry got involved with Frederic in Boston. They won both of those games as well. The physicality seemed to get them going. They need to lay the body a lot more and get emotional. Maybe they take a dumb penalty or something but at least they’ll show they care.

EDIT: How could I forget Troy Stecher fighting big Sean Couterier in that game against Philly.

  16. I love McDavid but to me it seemed as though he lost a half-step of speed last year. I chalked it up to that illness that was going around the room in the early spring (and then him being banged up in playoffs).

But I'd say that he seems a quarter step slower than that now, even.

I LOVE McDavid – but I've never seen him get backchecked this hard before (to the point of coughing up the puck multiple times per game). I really hope he regains his speed – or finds a way to make up for the slight dip on his top end.

Also i agree that Knobs is continuing the trend of questionable decisions. But AT LEAST he has McDavid and Drai on separate lines, and Fredric on the 3rd line.

  17. Looks like McDavid got the Petey special where both players said they gonna shoot more but don't !!

  18. Oilers had too many turnovers in own zone)) 😂 Jack Hughes was a major factor in Devil's win😇
Oilers power play again and again creates short handed goals 😜and their expensive defenders are worth much-much-much less $$$🤑and I miss Hyman and Walman 😇

  19. Other teams I watch have become more physical, meanwhile Oilers have regressed in this department. The amount of time and space opposing forwards have had compared to Oilers' own these past few games has been night and day.

  20. any emotion/passion is not rewarded and is benched by Knob. I am not surprised by the team's reaction.

  22. Ingram by the way looked pretty good in his first game in Bakersfield, just fyi. Oilers are a very soft team right now ,you could have a coffee in front of the net and not spill any.

  23. With the new people in the line up they are out of sync , with the lines being scrambled every shift, no one knows where there line mate will be .

  24. The Devils are a different team this year, they're loaded up front and especially on the backend. Nothing to be ashamed of 😊 😈
