I've honestly, have never been high on Othmann. To be fair, it could be the Rangers development team, is failing to teach him the proper way to be an NHL level player. We've seen this happen multiple times. Rangers giving up on a prospect, only for them to turn into a completely different player. It pains me to admit this, but this Rangers current development team, is the worst at developing prospects to be NHL ready.
Yeah player development is horrible.
For a team that is not that good and humiliated the Rangers with a rookie scoring a hat trick only tells me the are good. Last season the Rangers played this style of games because they were protesting managements ways of handling the team and their play against the Sharks just gave me that bad feeling of last seasons play but I hope I am wrong. We will take this a little further if they continue to play inconsistent hockey. Peace.
So we want ahl prospects? We already have prospects we dont play. Sharks played there younger prospects and beat us soundly. Why arent we giving ours a chance? Berard, perrault, more…

Speed and grit is what these Rangers lack !! They beat nobody to the puck and can’t come out of a corner with the puck cleanly !! No toughness on this team. Rempe needs to learn how to fight if he’s gonna keep fighting the tough guys in the NHL… Rempe has heart but needs to do some homework on the fighters he plans to drop em with. Reaves loves those haymaker Rights. Rempe should have tied up Reaves right hand and he could have won that fight. You don’t win fights when you hit the guys fist with your face all the time !!
Cellar dwelling teams, mediocre goalies, players in a scoring drought – all wish to play the Rangers asap in MSG.
While the Rangers played, " truly one of the worst teams in the NHL", they managed to look even worse. Other than Rad's hat trick, it was D and F grades across the board.
Two goals against with seconds to play in a period? Another OT flop.
No Othmann trade will change the trajectory of this season.
Send this full team down to the AHL; call up Hartford team in its entirety – it can't get worse.
So they want a top AHL player for a mediocre Otthman.
