It is very clear in the summer Treliving was LAZY sure he got bottom six lofters but he failed to address the key need they needed more top six offense bc of Marner leaving.

Matthew’s isn’t the guy to lead by example. He isn’t a team player, doesn’t get involved into scrums and protect his rookies (Cowan getting dumped and when he was cross checked in the face) and doesn’t take the lead to bring a team to victory. I always thought it was the coach not helping with team toughness but now it’s gotta be the top guys who have to send that message because every time we get a tougher player they never play the same way when we get them, they turn soft. I think the leafs should call up Pezzetta and bring in Blais to complete the 4th line with Lorentz until Laughton is back. Robertson and jarny aren’t fourth line guys, they are undersized and play small

Jt is top 20 in the nhl in goals top 20 in points his line mate is 2nd in the league in points and berubi thanks by playing him 17 min a game and gives 34 22min a game.
