  1. A fine young man by all accounts. His passing has me shaking my head. Nick Mangold, a good guy has died at 41, while Donald Trump, an absolute turd, lives on. That’s wrong on soooo many levels.

  2. RIP to Mr Mangold, his Family, Coach Ryan, the Jets family, the Ohio State family…
Pretty sure #50 was looking down on the Jets today!

  3. It’s hard to see Rex Ryan break down into tears on air following the death of his former Jets player, Nick Mangold. RIP to Mangold.

  4. Really difficult to see this and not shed a tear. Truly heartbreaking. My deepest condolensces to his wife and children as there is no doubt that Nick was gone too soon.

  5. Rex Ryan is beloved by all fans no matter which colors or logos they support I hope he knows that.

  6. Imagine that. Guy makes millions and plays injured to what is almost no chance to save coach's job. He literally could have been ailing with what took his life when he was going back on the field. Class act Nick and Rex what a tribute and a story to share

  7. Rip Nick Mangold😢 Every Jets fan should go on every Jets social media page and write we want Coach Rex Ryan back and bring his brother Rob Ryan to as the assistant coach/ defensive coordinator

  8. Sorry for your loss, Rex, and especially to Mangold's family. Much respect to Rex for coming out and paying tribute to Nick despite how hard it is.

  9. I was watching ESPN this morning and had already heard the news and was heartbroken but when I watched Rex live, I broke down crying with him. Nick was my all-time favorite NY Jet player. Met him so many times throughout the years and he was the nicest guy and SO SO funny. Rest in Peace Nick 🙁

  10. I am not RR’s biggest fan but I have an enormous amount of respect for him which has only increased after watching this. I myself nearly died last year (was 15m away, septic shock). I look at everything differently these days. Life is curiously fragile. I always knew that. We all know that. This is such sad news. By all accounts NM was the finest of men. Life can be so cruel. Sigh.

  11. Patriots fan here. Always respected Mangold and it was always clear that Rex Ryan cared about his players. RIP

  12. Rex loves his players. And he wears his heart on his sleeve. It’s ok to mourn. Mourn heavily.

  13. Respect from Bronco nation. Mangold was a truly great player and will be missed. Love and prayers to his family. That's to Rex for his heartfelt feelings. Real men cry then they lose other real men.

  14. As a Bengals/Ohio State fan/fellow human being, may Nick Mangold rest in paradise. And I send my best wishes for peace to his loved ones during this difficult time. Watching Rex Ryan break down really hit me in the feels. There's no denying whatsoever that he genuinely loved and respected Nick.
