Bobby Brink is starting to show he's skating in his veteran skates now. It's obvious that he's been working on his skatinh, not skipping legs and back days in the gym. He's speed has improved but…most of all….I feel like he's always the hardest working skater on the ice and on the club. He's always taking a dial that goes to ten….up to eleven. Fearless against the 6 feet plus 200lbs plus defenders with his 5'8" and what….170lbs soaking wet? 😉
As a for rec player that was 5'8" and 165lbs…at most….I don't know how he does it. Well, I do know…us smaller guys can actually have advantage in the corners and board battles. Our lower centers and….I'm sure Bobby has these but…big thigh and calf muscles…. It can be an advantage in leverage on the board.
Now …I don't think we'll ever see Bobby become the next Theo Fleury and potting 50 genos a season. Much….much different league now. Goalies are just so much better as well. But, Bobby can be the type of 2W that every team would love to have. A crazy hard worker and speedy little mucker. I've been very impressed with his progress and am looking forward to him having a long career… hopefully with our beloved Flyers!
