  1. it’s a coaching problem imo we have amazing forward depth hintz, seguin, gurianov, Radulov, benn, Dickinson, pavelski, Faksa. We only have two crappy offensively forwards in cogs and comeau but they are great defensively. Our play style sucks no in the offensive zone pressure we don’t crash the net we give up scoring chances too. Also our pk is terrible with bowness we need a coach that’s it.

  2. They did win a division title and finished first in the conference the first year of Lehtonen and Niemi so it wasn't a complete failure.

  3. Losing a game 7 6-1 in your own barn was such a low point in 2016. Like come on guys can’t you turn up for a game 7 at home?

  4. Another lost asset that the Stars had was Jarome Iginla, when they traded him and one other for Joe Nieuwendyk I believe.

  5. Shannon, how do you think the league would be different if the Original Senators never moved or folded. Obviously they would be the most storied franchise instead of Montreal, but how else do you think the league would’ve changed. Original 7 era. Do we have 7 new teams in 1967? I’d love to know what you think the league would’ve been like

  6. As a life long fan I think a "low" point has been that, to a large degree since we won the cup, we've been mostly a mediocre team. We never really bottomed out, but we never really went on any multi-year runs either. We've just kind of been "meh," which feels sort of like a low to me. This year felt different to me imo, but unfortunately things out of our control halted the season. I just hope we can make a strong push in the next year or two, because I'm nervous about a future without Benn, and aging Seguin and Klingberg, and after Bishop is gone. I'm not sure how strong a team we'll be with just Heiskanen and maybe Gurianov and Hintz to lean on.

  7. Another lost asset was trading two draft picks to the Anaheim Ducks, those draft picks being the picks used to get Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry

  8. It seems like a rough decade for the Stars but its not nearly as bad as when they were in Minnesota. The North Stars had a losing record their last 7 years in Minnesota. That streak ended when they moved to Dallas. I don't think Dallas has had 7 losing seasons total even if you add the overtime losses. It was much easier to make the playoffs when they were in Minnesota

  9. If the North Stars drafted Yzerman then they probably don't get Modano. The North Stars finished last by 1 point the year before they drafted Modano

  10. There's also Finnish football (soccer) goalie named Antti Niemi. I always find it fun to listen this Scottish radio talk show clip about that another Antti Niemi >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvreCDC61Zw … Damn that accent is quite difficult to understand 🙂 …Anyways, good work as always and thank you for these videos!

  11. Boy does that thumbnail say it all…

Let me clarify, since it's the internet. It isn't Modano specifically that's a low point. Not at all, kids. It's Modano in a mooterus.

    I can't dream well because of my horns " ~ Minotaur's Song

  13. Ahhhh the mooterus, I was a young boy and I even questioned why that existed. Now I want one because it’s historic.

  14. Sylvain Turgeon and the 1983 draft will forever be a sore point for those of us who bleed green and blue. "If only…"

We had Lawton as well for a little bit. Salt in the wound.

  15. Not sure I wanted to watch this. Obviously, the Mooterus is the low point.

  16. Pretty amazing you didn't mention the Hicks Sports Group bankruptcy, and Brad Richards refusing to re-sign with the Stars because he didn't consider it a viable team. That was the low point for me.

  17. We had one of those "Beer league guys get to skate on the NHL ice before a game" nights in Dallas years ago. It was back when Ralph Strangis was one of the announcers. They have also really cheapened the "rink of dreams" product in recent years, but back then you got a really nice buffet dinner and some time with Ralph & Razor to ask questions. One of our guys asked them if they liked the Mooterus jerseys. Ralph came to Razor's rescue, who is generally not lost for words and said (paraphrased) – "Sometimes you just have to take one for the team". That pretty much summed it up.

  18. To be honest, a little surprised Basil McRae isn't on the least ppg list. Maybe because it was the eighties?

  19. Dallas in recent years is a low and wasn't around for Minnesota during the 1970s. The move had to be rock bottom in line with those suppose to be Taurus The Bull jerseys.

  20. Got a mooterus hat and it's by far my favourite hat I wear everyday! Definitely love matching it with my Team-Issued Moodano Mooterus

  21. I am amused and confused that no mention has been made of Sean Avery's tenure. Wait, we had agreed to all forget. My bad.

  22. Franchise low: Shannon making a video of their all-time greats and snubbing Jere and Newey on his list.

  23. Oddly I still prefer the Mooterus to the word mark jerseys, made them look like a college team. The Mooterus is truly ugly but at least it's interesting.
