Sherwood is the Captain of the Canucks, He's got the heart, skill and soul that you want from a leader. Hughes did a great job, but you can tell he doesn't want to be here anymore, and is just waiting to sign with the devils.
A lot of younger players getting their chances now with the injuries. Hopefully they can improve with the increased ice time. There is a small chance that getting these injuries early could mean that the injured players will be more fresh come late in the season and playoffs. Maybe it will actually be beneficial in the end! One can hope. 🙂
I noticed one thing with Lukas Reichel. He was just getting the puck and turning around in the defensive zone. He notice Cam Fowler coming in to check him, he chips the puck out and braces for the hit. He actually put 6'2" 213 lbs Fowler on his ass as he stands up to his check. Really nice to see. This awareness is in stark contrast to Chytil who I think would have looked down too long and been flattened by that hit.

Sherwood is probably my favourite Canuck at the moment. Sherwood, Garland, Demko, and Hughes are the only 4 that don't take nights off, unlike that whiny weasel EP40.

The disallowed goal was more about the stick hotting the goalie just before the shot. Binnington’s natural reaction to recoil from a stick to the mask area interfered with him being able to track the puck properly. It had nothing to do with the reason for his side-to-side movement. And I’m a thru-and-thru Canucks fan, so this isn’t a bias opinion.
I love Sherwood. That disallowed goal was BS. I feel bad for Kane, it looked like he was going to cry.
Hey this was a important game for the Canucks maybe they can still find a way out of the mess they are clearly in right now I believe they can win and Kevin lankenin is a good backup for demko.
