So this team can't score more than 3 goals a game and even that's an accomplishment, add a factor where Bob doesn't play a great game and it's over.

We’re probably gonna have to live with the fact considering the injuries and whatnot, this will more be like 22-23 again where it will come down to the wire for the final wild card spot when most of the guys comeback by around March.
This team is cooked. No playoffs is basically a given.

Well jaws you took what I was going to say. They to basically look at the standings and wake up basically. Haven’t experienced a loss like this in a hot minute. I just hope that this loss could at least motivate them to get it going a bit more…. Also what’s up with the PK? And getting caught in a change? Those two things keep happening too much lately

Still isn't the end of the world and no one should be panicking. Concerned, maybe. But definitely not panicking. The west coast swing will be a success if they win 2 of the next 3. Remember, they are playing a home-heavy 1st half of the year. As long as they win a majority at home and pick apart lesser teams on the road, they will be sitting at or above .500 when Tkachuk returns. Just gotta survive until then.
When you play a pressure type of game that we do. Our has to be good. If you're timing is off, you leave gaps in the defense and give up odd man rushes and break aways. With the injuries and the new guys, the chemistry isn't there, and the timing is off. I don't know how this is going to go the rest of the season, but they'll have get everyone on the same page and playing the system the way it needs to be played.
As an Oilers fan, I feel your pain! Both of our teams look like absolute garbage right now. Lets just hope it is 2 years of Stanley Cup Playoff hangover.

I think we have been spoiled for a long time with barkovs leadership. He doesn't care what goes on the score sheet. He plays with everyone and is just as happy to shut down the other teams best player as he is scoring 2 goals. He is Mr selke for a reason
